I have two tickets for August that I'm really not happy with. If I find better ones or win the Friday 40 (haha), can I return the first pair? I bought them in February. Thanks!
mac, yes you can! I've returned two tickets after finding better seats without a problem, using the chat option online. As long as you return it at least 14 days before the performance, you'll be fine.
Was able to get 3 seats together, orchestra row J 26-30 for April 15. Has anyone sat in comparable seats? Hoping it's not too far over. Will be returning dress circle L 128 (an aisle seat) for the same day.
I of course have another dilemma! Thanks to the help of billyelliotfan123, I got a ticket for $40 per part in the balcony, on the center aisle of Row G. This is the same date as my $299 per part on Row A Seat 1 so I’ve got a decision to make.
It seems like the most logical thing to do would be to save $500 and sit in a perfectly fine seat, but I’m not a logical person. I do love being close and this is the 2nd to last row of the theatre, most likely won’t be seeing any faces. This is my most anticipated show ever and if I’m ever going to spend that much, I’d want it to be my first time and have the best possible experience and be very close to the original cast.
At this point I’m honestly just venting and I’m not sure what I’m even asking. I guess if anyone has sat in the last rows of the balcony, did you still feel you had a good view? All this being said, if anyone has a $40 per part seat for June 20th or 27th and would like to switch for the 24th, I’d love to trade so I don’t have to decide and just get to see it twice haha. If you read this all, good job!

I sat in Row G for both of this weeks performances! You definitely don't get a great look at the actual faces of the actors, but I would say it was a solid view. In fact, there are a handful of moments that I'd say are better experienced from the balcony (I'd say more, but wouldn't want to risk spoiling anything). Overall I'd say sitting so far up contributed decently to experiencing 'the magic' of the show, despite the fact that you didn't have a very good view of the individual expressions of each character.

So I saw the show in London, once from second row center and the other time not even that far back in orchestra (row K but farther to the side), I definitely loved being front and center more. I'm the kind of person who always loves being up close more than anything as well, even if I have to strain my neck a little or risk getting spit upon :). I just love being able to see facial expressions and feeling immersed in the action.

Thank you for this bc it's my current dilemma - Row A center aisle or Row M off to side (not terribly but still further than ideal). I'm short and have bad enough vision that with a pushed back dress circle I wouldn't just miss facial expressions, I might even miss some "big picture" stuff, so near to mid-Orch is my only option. I am worried about the neck strain in A bc I do have a bad neck, but more so reading here that it might ruin some of the "magic" by being too close. Did you feel you sacrificed that? If so, I'll be fine vision-wise in Row M as long as I don't have tall people in front of me (realize that's a risk I'll have to take)- I don't want to sacrifice the magic/effects AND get neck strain! Would love your thoughts!
As an update to my previous post I just read on the other HP thread that a 6'3" poster who sat in row D felt the stage seemed very high, which doesn't bode well for two 5'1" people! Of course neither do rows further back bc you never know who will be in front of you (eg, a 6'3" guy) but I wonder if I'm still better off in Row M!

I'm not sure how the Palace Theater stage in London compares with the Lyric, but I didn't feel like my neck felt too strained from second row. I'm 5'5" and one of the reasons I liked being closer was there were fewer heads to look between. When sitting farther back, I felt like I was always moving around trying to see the action on the stage and like there were always too many heads blocking my view.
As far as the magic, I don't feel like much of it will be given away by sitting closer. It was my second time that I sat up close so I knew what to look for and was actually wanting to figure out how they did the illusions. I could only work out a few, but if it's your first time, I don't think much of it will be obvious if you're not looking for it like I was.
But take all this with a grain of salt as I'm not sure how the Lyric compares with my experience in London. I'm seeing it from row C mid-row on Saturday so I can update then!

Please do! (Sorry my app wouldn't italicize your comment above and I didn't want to copy entire post). I'd so appreciate it. I suppose my neck is going to hurt either way bc I'll be moving around heads in M, craning in A). Normally I wouldn't ponder this so much but I also never, ever spring for premium tickets and this is a two-parter so you want as close to ideal as possible!

Whatever your question is, you answered yourself here. Spend your money on experiences rather than the accumulation of stuff.

I have a $20 per part seat in my Ticketmaster cart for tonight and tomorrow night. It's balcony C 4, which is being sold as a partial view, probably because of the railing/divider that has been mentioned, in front of row C in the side balcony sections. I'm assuming someone on here will want it, so I'll hold it for now. If you're interested, PM me. If you'd like to give me your cell number, we can coordinate a release.

This seat has been released, and bought. As long as these last-minute tickets keep popping up, I'll keep posting about them. So look for my updates!
Anyone interested in seeing Part 2 tonight? I managed to get tickets yesterday from a member here's cousin, and work just called to send me back out of the country tonight so I will miss Part 2. Luckily I saw the whole thing in London last year (it was so great to see most of the same cast again last night!!)
Anyway, I have a ticket in the balcony, row F, available for tonight. We'd have to figure out where to meet, I'm in Kew Gardens right now and headed to JFK later today. I paid $102 yesterday for both shows, so just make me an offer if you'd like to go!
Just scored Orchestra L3 and L5 for a performance in April for $189 a piece! Can't wait!! Will be returning my October 13 tickets if anyone is interested - they're in Dress Circle A.
