Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

This has been my dream for years. I about died when she sang "Everything's Coming Up Roses" on tour. It's really the music I just want her to sing more so than acting in the show. But.

People may not be thrilled with her more pop stylings, but given her range, she's actually really appropriate for the role vocally. Now, does that mean I think she can pull off the acting? I'd have to see it first. But I definitely think she can sing it, regardless of what people more used to a "traditional Rose voice" may feel.
I don't think she takes good enough care of her voice to be able to do the show eight times a week. I think a role like Rose would probably destroy her voice.
It would certainly be very different from anything she's ever done. Might be interesting, but there are a lot of ladies I'd like to see tackle it first.
@BroadwayConcierge - Agreed 500%. Nathan Lane would be PERFECT as Aaron Burr, and as Hamilton, and as Mama Rose. We need to step it up and get Broadway closer to its ultimate goal of reaching the Nathan Lane Singularity - he must play everyone.
I feel like my opposition to this is not Idina playing Mama Rose, but anyone playing Mama Rose in the recent future. We have seen TOO MANY revivals of Gypsy that I just don't want to see another one for a while. But, when Broadway inevitably does another revival, Jane Krakowski should be the one to take on Mama Rose.

Sorry just not a fan.
Well when I saw her with 18,000 other people at the Hollywood Bowl later year, she was flawless.
And no blender. Just 18,000 folks that paid good money to see her. And she thanked her voice teacher, who she still sees on the weekly. So she definitely has the chops.
Was your last show at the Hollywood Bowl sold out?
Thought not. Find another bridge to troll under, she's fabulous.
No thank you. I don't believe she has the acting chops and I'm skeptical that she has the voice. She also reads as being far too young to play Mama Rose.
