Sadly, no.
The balcony scene is the only scene in this production that "kind of" works, followed by "High flying adored". Before and after that it's just an empty stairs with Zegler stomping around aggressively in black underwear. There basically is no production, aside from those 2 numbers.
Just put it at Lincoln Center they will have all that space outside to play with other than that they have to play it in the lobby everything else will cause traffic from hell
I don't get why everyone thinks this would cause more traffic/security issues than the walk during Sunset Blvd.

That's a fantastic idea.

Today, Tom Francis has almost 80K followers on Instagram.
Rachel Zegler has 2.5 million.

Tom Francis also doesn't have a target on his back for speaking his mind. Zegler does.

The only crowd that places targets is the left, and Zegler hasn’t done anything to offend them (although I’m sure they’re just waiting for her to slip up like they do with everybody, all the time).

Oh, so you are Boris. I guess I need to block another account! As you know a majority of political violence in the US comes from the Right.

Tom Francis was moving the whole time. There were crowds, yes, but they weren't centralized in one 50 foot radius for 10 minutes (plus hours of waiting as was the case in London). The Evita balcony moment is in one place with a massive crowd of people in one place for about 10 full minutes. Add in that they blasted the orchestra and the vocals outside the theatre and it's a massive logistical nightmare.
Regardless of theatre availability, I've been told the soonest this will come is spring 2027. ALW doesn't want to compete against Cats, and Jamie doesn't want to do another fall opening for a musical
You know what I hate about all this? That this show has been turned into a gimmick: An outside balcony.
If they can’t find an appropriate outside balcony the show won’t play…
So much ****ing ridiculousness.
I hate the state of Broadway right now.
It sucks @ss…
…and NOT in a good way!!!

That moment has LITERALLY been Evita's Gimmick from Day 1. What are you talking about?
EVITA is transferring. They still have ads up for a reason. It's not if - but when. Schedules and theaters. It's starting to gel ...

This makes the most sense to me.
If only someone could build them some scenery.

It should be noted that the last time Evita was on Broadway (2012), it competed alongside the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar and both were nominated for the Best Revival Tony. I don't see why it's such a big deal for ALW to have two of his shows on Broadway at the same time again.

The question isn't the nomination, it's that only one can win. It's been almost 15 years since the last Evita (also noted that it was re-staged 6 years after its initial production in London), ALW's goals have changed.
HERE LIES LOVE was able to make a balcony for Imelda in the Broadway theatre from the center front mezzanine overlooking the crowd standing in the orchestra dancing area and I thought was effective.
It is possible to make a balcony of their own but it will be $$$.
They clearly want to do the stunt with it on the street for the social media aspect. But I do wonder how costly that will be given the security and having to coordinate with the city, etc.

Did you see the crowds that stood outside for Zegler? At most it was like a couple of dozen for Tom's walk because he was moving back and forth for a couple of minutes. Evita would be a notable star standing in one places for at least 6-7 minutes. A logistical nightmare on any street, much less the wrong street.
They are waiting for one of several shows to end their run or start their run and then end it. A few shows will get the boot if they don't come out the gate well - or start declining more than they already are...
