Well, he's dressed like Drew is, which is one of the costumes, but he has his "signature" fedora on.

He won't. It's just for promotional footage/images.

I wouldn't be so sure of that from what I've heard!

if they do have the fedora in the show I can see Jason wearing in the bus stop scene with Jenna, and the fedora might appear in the Dr's Office on the coat rack.

WAITRESS is Jenna's story. The new artwork, if I knew nothing about the show, makes me think it's about a quirky man who dresses in drag and poses as a pie baker...

The new artwork is a bit confusing, but I'm such a Mraz fan. I'm so excited to see him in this. I've seen the show twice before, but have been dying to see Wolfe, and now I def. have to see this. Guess I'll be buying a real person ticket.

Not a fan of the new playbill! Jason is not even in costume... plus the photoshop and logo look bad. Betsy looks like a housewife. It’s Jenna’s story, not her and Pottamer’s.

Christ, did an intern design that playbill on the subway on the way to the printing press??
Hey, you know how this is a show about empowering women? Let's put her BEHIND the supporting male character!

Someone I know saw it and said he wasn't half bad.
As for the playbill, I think the only reason is, well...Mraz himself. I can understand why people are disgruntled by the lead lady being overshadowed yet again by another male character as has been historical, but I figure, other than Sara, he's the biggest name attached to it now, so it's more of a marketing ploy than anything. 'Go see pop star Mraz in Sara B's musical!" If it weren't Mraz, we'd be seeing the same playbill we've been seeing. I don't necessarily like that kind of marketing ploy, but I can understand it at least.

I think I’m more upset they didn’t use the promos with drew as a template.

I actually cackled out loud!

Report at intermission: he's... fine, I guess? He seems a little wooden, but it fits with the character well. He sounds fabulous though.

Did y'all see that Waitress is being taped live this Tuesday? Hopefully the taping is released like Rent's final performance.
Edit: Nevermind, it's not the actual show. It says the taping is an hour and fifteen minutes long.

Seeing this next weekend with Jason Mraz but just saw that Betsy Wolfe will be in Houston for a few benefit concerts. Does anyone know who will be playing Jenna those days or who is usually on when she's out?

You're a saint, thanks. I have tickets for the 18th and I had a minor panic attack. I’m sure Stephanie is fabulous, but I held out on seeing Betsy until my friend is in town :)
