Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised, but imagining Jason Mraz playing a doctor brings to mind an image of a naive child playing doctor in like an oversized lab coat. Love his singing and his music, but I’m iinterested on how the acting will go.

Mraz will be great! I’m wondering if Roman Holiday is coming or Drew will be out of work, certainly hoping for the former. That man has a stunner voice and should definitely get to create another role on Broadway. 

Does it sound like Betsy is staying on during Jason’s entire 10 week run to anyone else? 

Edited to add: I’m really worried to see what the marketing will be now with Mraz in the show. It’s always been so female centric and with mraz, instead of seeing Betsy’s face plastered on billboards, trash cans, and busses it will be Jason’s. I kind of think that’s wrong, due to the subject matter of the show. Who knows. Maybe they’ll market it with him differently.

I would be shocked if Diane and her team don't already have creative marketing that takes this into account. She's a very clever woman.

I don't think this is the reason Wolfe backed out of CAROUSEL. Theoretically she could have rehearsed the workshop in the daytime, and perform WAITRESS at night. Awful schedule, but possibly doable.

^its also not like waitress could have easily recast her as well. I’m assuming she’s staying on as a result of not continuing with carousel.

I don't think there are any out yet that would work for Jason's dates.  I was going to buy tickets today but not at $170 plus fees for an orchestra seats.  I'll have to wait until they put out another code and hope for the best.

how did you hear about the special promo code?  I bought my tickets today, but I didn't use the promo code.  Do I automatically get a signed Waitress poster or did I need to use the promo code?

You need to use the code. I got it by being on Jason's e-mail list.

See if Ticketmaster will let you return and repurchase them with the code?

In 2011, Mraz announced that he would not marry until everyone had the right to marry the person they loved.  True to his word, he didn't marry until after same-sex marriage became legal in 2015.

He's a good guy.

Thanks haterobics for the special promo code.  I called Ticketmaster, took 20 minute to get thru, but the person on the line was able to void my earlier transaction so I could place another order with the special promo code.

A few things to note.  Once you enter the special promo code for the Waitress poster, you still need to select that option when choosing a seat.  You have the option of poster or no poster for the same price.  And not all seats have the poster option.  I originally had $99 tickets. I had to upgrade to the $169 tickets to get the poster.  Hopefully this helps others who are thinking about using the special promo code.
