I saw the show on Sunday. I had seen it twice before, both times with Sara.
Betsy: Her voice is sublime. She plays a sadder Jenna right from the get go. And she had tears streaming down her face during "She Used to Be Mine. " Sara was more playful and peppy. I think I prefer Sara, but Betsy was great.
Jason: Yeah. He was a bit stiff and doesn't have much comedic timing. (I had seen Chris Diamantopoulos twice before and he really went for the laughs.) Jason got a little bit of polite laughter but when he wasn't on stage you kind of forgot about him. His voice however was just beautiful and it blended so nicely with Betsy's. He does not wear a fedora at any point in the show.
David Josefberg does a carbon copy version of Christopher's Ogie. The audience ate it up.
Maia Wilson was a dynamite Becky--she was an audience favorite for sure. Will and Caitlin were both fantastic.
Has anyone tried rush/standing room since he joined? Thinking about going Wednesday.

Stephanie Torns just confirmed that she will be doing six shows this week. Thursday through Sunday. She posted in both Instagram and Twitter.
Stephanie is very strong- I just wanted to see Betsy lol! Her "She Used to be Mine" is particularly great- she's been doing it awhile so you're in good hands- for whatever reason she just didn't have that star spark.

I respectfully disagree. I personally think she's right up there with the best....sparkles and all. I totally get being disappointed if you want to see someone in particular and they are not on, but Stephanie is just fabulous.
Different strokes for different folks. I'm not trying to invalidate your opinion. Just give another one.
Did anyone who bought a ticket for Mraz on that first day with the code for the free signed thing go yet? What is it? I guess I can just wait until 12/16, but still... anyone?
If they ever decide to go with a musician-turned-acting-hobbyist for Pomatter, Ben Folds would probably be a more natural fit than Mraz, though he has the working relationship with Bareilles to tie him to the production more tangibly.

.... now I really want to see Ben Folds as Dr Pomatter.

The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

It's called Betsy cannot sell tickets the way Sara or Jason can (and do) and is mediocre at best.
Additionally - colored playbills cost money. Why waste the money on a placeholder when tickets are being sold for way less than when a star is in the show?

It's not sexist. It's fact."
