Jinkx in Oh, Mary would be an instant ticket purchase for me.

Though I think it's more accurate to say her tweet hints a possible theatre return- Little Shop was, of course, off-Broadway.

I’d say it’s very likely she is stepping into Oh, Mary. The JCM rumors are untrue.

I’m a fan of both JCM and Jinkx though somehow I think Jinkx would sell more tickets.

Jinkx would sell more tickets than JCM. This announcement should lead to the show extending into June with Cole returning at some point.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

The assumption was that Cole would return by the Spring to carry the show through the Tony Awards. Cole's replacement was always intended as temporary. Would Jinkx do a 6 month run?

Well, we do have the conflicting rumor of Glengary going in the Lyceum. Jinkx could come in for a limited run (8 weeks or something) and then close the production.

In terms of the Tonys, Oh Mary is already incredibly well-positioned for nominations.

This would not be a particularly exciting answer, but it would make sense for Jinkx to go into DRAG THE MUSICAL - Alaska is leaving the show in January.
