I thought Britney Spears already had The Trailer Park Musical, no? HA!

Also, I think Twyla Tharp has already called dibs on Bruce Springsteen and John Cougar Mellencamp musicals.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd like to see Green Day's album "American Idiot" staged. I'm not sure if they put the storyline (yes, there's a storyline) on display at the concert tour they did for the album, but I just think it would be so cool.

Jerry Lee Lewis. His life was extremely dramatic and that would help his crazy story along from just a "crazy-good" boogie-woogie piano man to a self-tourtured man who married his 13 year old second cousin. Think about it...

Dolly Parton's show is not really a jukebox musical at Dollywood. It is a multimedia 30 minute experience with four songs and senic shots of the nature. there never has been a jukebox show at dollywood, only other artists covering her songs

Impossible Princess : featuring the songs of Kylie Minogue.
Since I'm a fan of her entire catalog of music, I could really see it working, as ridiculous as it sounds.

They could reference Taming of the Shrew (the title Impossible Princess kind of fits that), kind of like All Shook Up had the reference to Twelth Night, etc.

It'd be campy, dancey, and a hell of a lot of fun!

I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

Hanson would be funny.

Could you imagine AC/DC?

I do think that a Queen jukebox would be very cool though.

Also agree with Ben and Rufus.

The Blues Brothers, even though alot of their songs are just covers of other Blues performers, but maybe it could be a jukebox of different blues songs. Also maybe The Rolling Stones.

I just went to Dollywood three weeks ago, and I know for a fact that there is a jukebox musical there. There's even proof on the website. What you're thinking of is Heartsongs:
http://www.dollywood.com/shows/show_detail.aspx?AttractionID=330
The jukebox musical is Dreamland Drive-In:
http://www.dollywood.com/shows/show_detail.aspx?AttractionID=574
My synopsis:
The Dreamland Drive-In is old and decrepit. Benches are overturned and a FOR SALE sign is in the window. An old radio truck pulls onto the stage. An elderly man steps out and finds a bell. He attaches it to his truck. He rigns it and the Drive-In magically refurbishes itself and travels back into the 50s. The older man appears as a young man who is running the show by ringing the bell and playing a chart topper and they sing and dance. He falls in love with a green-dress-wearing cutie and "goes steady". They go through a couple of years together, but sadly have to break up when she is off to college. He is devestated. A couple years later, he is dancing with a new girl when the girl of his past shows up. They never see eachother again. The owner of the drive in retires and the kids throw a party for her. They sadly put up a FOR SALE sign on the window. The Drive-In magically falls apart to the present day state. The old man puts his hand into the truck. He helps out his wife...his green-dress-wearing high school sweatheart. He walks her around the Drive-In again and takes her to the main building. He takes down the FOR SALE sign and throws it into the truck. He gestures "What do you think?" They kiss and embrace and the story is finished. It was done quite well and almost made me cry. It was too short to get me fully into it, so if it was longer and more in depth I probably would have cried. It's a great show to get you out of the heat and has good toe-tappin' music.

The music and lyrics of Mariah Carey could easily work into a show.

Some good Rock musicals would be great like Led Zepplin might be interesting. Pink Floyd's The Wall would be really distubing but it would be really interesting.

Although it is a musical review, it is new this year and does not use Dolly's music. Thus it is not her jukebox musical..there may be a jukebox in the show since it based in the 50s and 60s.
