We’re working on something that’ll make your ****ty life Better and while we're doing that grab your tickets to see us live on Broadway. https://kimberlyakimbothemusical.com/
Recorded on October 3rd; so, great chance we will get at least a digital release of this very very soon! And Bonnie Milligan sounds friggin' amazing in that video
"Anagram" is absolutely gorgeous, the music video for it made me tear up. It's amazing how a simple progression in the accompaniment can create such a deep well of emotion. Can't wait to hear the rest of the score!
This is very clever marketing: the show is hosting an exclusive album listening party at Wollman Rink on Friday, February 10 from 5-7 PM. Tickets are on sale now at this link — and there'll be ice-skating, of course:
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
I am so excited for more people to hear this score! It's so good!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

was there a reason to doubt it won't be released tomorrow?
"
binau is from Australia (IIRC), and usually when something is going to come out, binau and some other friends in Australia can confirm or deny if the album was avalible to them at 12am their time. As of this writing, the album has been live for just over 5 hours down under. We all remember the confusion with the new London recording of Cabaret
"Ok ok ok ok ok ok ok. Have you guys heard about fidget spinners!?" ~Patti LuPone
I attended the listening/skating party in Central Park this past weekend. The album, even when played over the skating rink speakers, sounded amazing. I can’t wait for this to be released tomorrow.
