Now, that’s an ad. I love the heavy featuring of Lincoln Center campus, a key part of seeing any show there. It makes it feel like Ragtime was meant to be performed there.
I thought Caissie Levy's costume was pretty awful too.
:: fingers crossed ::

EH. There were 2-3 of the roles, including Sarah, that could have been recast for a better show. I wish we were getting a great new revival. Henry, however, is enough to go again.
Set Designer, David Rockwell left the show (replaced by Korins) - . He has a huge career outside of theater - and, like other designers and cast, isn't a fan of deBessonnet, as director (including her flag idea), after the City Center version.

Considering she secured two separate Broadway transfers while keeping most of the respective cast and teams intact seems to disprove that completely baseless accusation you just threw out. It sounds like you have a problem with her, and that’s whatever, but let’s not conflate that with any kind of general consensus.
It's not baseless. Those transfers happened due to covid actor availability and producers seeing the cheap value in producing concerts with popular IP's or those that hadn't been seen in a revival before ("Parade".
That promo was fantastic. So glad to see things like, this plus the Chess one actually make you want to book tickets

We get it -- you don't like Lear deBessonnet. But even this is a stretch; if "other designers and cast" weren't "fans" of her vision, then why the heck are they back?! If there was that much dissension about her abilities or vision, I think we'd see a lot more new cast members.

Omg. Over an hour to wait to get into LincTix, and I've had my page up waiting to enter the waiting room since 9am

They want to do a RAGTIME revival and work.

LincTix has been secured. See y'all on October 11th!
That was arduous! Couldn’t complete the purchase on my phone and the desktop site kept crashing on me, but finally grabbed my LincTix for November 4th.

Grabbed LincTix for November 9! I opened the page at 9:30am, was placed in the queue. At 10am, said the wait would be 17 min. 18 min later, directed to log in. Selected 3 dates. First one had availability, no issue! Purchased. Woo! Cannot wait!
Jesus. I got tickets yesterday and they were $196 and today those same seats are over $300.
Looks like LCT has a hit. That Lear knows how to draw crowds...

I kept selecting dates to see what the seats looked like, got booted out at one point, went back in and got a LincTix for a date towards the end of their run. I'm glad I kept trying
$196! Ok so even though I only might make one trip a year to NYC this makes me think I'd better keep up my membership. The savings are significant.

Let's see what sales look like in a month. I'd be very happy if this turns out to be a hit and it extends. Hoping they have a rush policy.

Nah - Ragtime does

Tell that to the last revival.

Even with great word of mouth, I can't really see this doing better numbers than FLOYD COLLINS (or the last RAGTIME revival, for that matter). Like other LCT shows that have struggled, subscribers and LincTix purchasers are leading the pack. No box-office draws are attached to the project.
If this manages to be a decent seller, I will gladly eat my hat.

FLOYD COLLINS is a niche musical about a guy who gets trapped in a cave and dies. And it has an esoteric score. I know people who left at intermission because they felt it oppressive and claustrophobic.
RAGTIME, while dark and not “famous” on the level of Cabaret or R&H, is a more universal story of American families with a more accessible score.
(FLOYD is also a much cheaper show to run, probably.)
I’m not predicting RAGTIME will sell to the masses at SOUTH PACIFIC levels. But I think it has much much more going for it than FLOYD COLLINS. LCT is also a nonprofit with a long list of commercial partners on the show, so we don’t know what the financial benchmarks even are here. Ticket sales are not the only revenue stream.

Any idea how much a membership is saving off these tickets? The dates in November I am looking at have nearly all the orch main taken already so curious.
^ If I understand the question correctly, members paid just under a hundred for seats regardless of location.
