"Change the channel, Goth. Why put yourself through inferior material."
Except for "Something Good" the material is not inferior. I think Audra is the best thing about this show. I wish the direction was a bit better.

I'd love to see "The King and I" done this way. What other family-friendly shows would work for the holidays? Mame? Hello Dolly? The Music Man?
If it succeeds, they can do a live show during May sweeps with the less family-friendly ones.

The set transition -wonderful- I think Carrie has gotten better and better as the night
has gone on..(to bad they didn't have previews LOL) I still like her ..kind of timid but her singing is great and her acting when she sings is very good...I think Steven is kind of just playing Von Trapp as ANGRY man ..but I am so glad they did this..Now that I have seen Laura for more than a minute..she is so natural..a great actess...Loving her
I definitely felt some theatrical sizzle with the Nazis on one side and Maria and the children singing the simple and innocent "Do, Re, Mi."
Laura Benanti is trending on twitter.
Maybe a live one night only telecast of "Hello Dolly" is something Bette Middler would want to do?
I would actually not mind seeing a live adaption of West Side Story. But it's not exactly family friendly holiday entertainment. And the leads are difficult to cast.
I friggin love this so far. Th wig and Kurt are the only things that bother me personally, however the show itself is pretty amazing. Carrie, although not the best actress, is showing a very earnest, naive Maria and makes the show very well grounded. The Captain is doing well I think. Definitely likes to yell.
Wow, Stephen was great! And Carrie didn't hit that high note

Did you see the look Carrie just gave The Captain when he took the higher notes at the end? It was like "Dayum, where did that come from?"
"Laura Benanti is trending on twitter."
Um if that's not big I don't know what is. She's not famous at all. People are engaged. So neat. TV changing. FINALLY!!!!!!!!
Will NBC still with R&H if they do another live show?
Carrie hit the high note at the end.
Beautiful.
^Possibly, but no matter what, it will be a well-known show.

"Get the live "sing a long" disk..." I never heard a CD described quite that way before.
Next year R and H Cinderella!

Whatever they do in the future, it will need a name to sell it. It will have to be a star vehicle.
I hope the next one isn't Cinderella. They have done it twice already...It's been a while yes but still, I would LOVE to see "The Fiddler on the Roof."

I think a live telecast of Bye Bye Birdie would be fun... Family friendly and cam get the memory of that revival out of my mind

I think The Wiz would go over very well.
I predict "Meet me in St. Louis" next.
Plants?! Seriously?! COME ON, HOW CAN THEY NOT FIND THEM?
this is a nice reminder of how the church saved many lives and fought the Nazis during the war

Carrie Underwood's acting is simply atrocious. Her performance will become legendary in the wrong way. She has no sense of line delivery or diction. This is a theatrical disgrace...they can't even fix the hiss on the sound system. How is this junky production with 8 million commercials turn on anyone to theater?
