Whew, just got through reading all 9 pages of this thread. I wanted to add my love for TWS. I can't stop listening to "Not That Kind of Thing." The... "and it doesn't match my jacket"... line will NEVER stop being funny!

I said hold it!!! I had a dream of Tracee last night. She was bitching about how demanding being on Broadway is. Very weird.

Cara is actually very good in the role. You won't be disapointed, though she's no Amy.

Someone brought up merchandise...

When I was in NY, the TKTS tables had a flyer that had an offer... complete the word search and go see the show, present the flyer and your ticket to the souvenir booth and get a free Wedding Singer magnet (valued at $7). I got two. : )

The very first time I saw it, I bought the "1985/Simply Wed Tour" shirt at intermission. I love it and wear it whenever I can. I actually wore it to the 3rd viewing and Matthew Stocke said to me after the show "Nice shirt" with a thumbs up.

And I collect show programs, so I'm freakin' dying here waiting for TWS to create/sell one. Anyone have any idea if they're putting one together?

The part of the band that comes onstage near the end of the show has piano tie tshirts.

I have serious envy whenever I see them. They're so cute.

I love Amy and was in complete fangirl mode getting to see her when I saw the show, but I'm really interested in seeing Cara but I don't think I'll get to since I'll be seeing the show later in August.

And I heard Matt Saldivar is going on vacation sometime in August, I'm not sure what dates, though.

I want to see Nicolette as Holly! Hopefully Cara will miss at least one of her scheduled performances so Nicolette gets the chance to go on! I saw Nicolette as Linda and she was great! Updated On: 7/14/06 at 11:33 AM

I'd see this show every day to see all the understudies and standbys in action.

You and me both! There aren't many shows where people actually look forward to understudies and stand-bys being on! But this is definitely one for me. :) I mean, people gush about the understudies for Wedding Singer all the time, so it's got me itchin' to see them.

This is why I wait patiently for Matthew Saldivar's vacation. re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread. I mean, don't get me wrong, Matthew is funny. And each time I see it I'm more pleasantly surprised by his voice. But I am sooo looking forward to David Josefsberg going on for Sammy. And if by luck, Kevin Kern on for Robbie at the same time.

But I've discussed this before, LOL.

You know what I just love? The lyric in the finale, as sung by 'Tina Turner.'

"People call him the wedding singer. He sang at weddings and so the name was apt."

Ahhh, how hilarious is that? :P

Seeing the show on Thursday! Can't wait!

I just love the entire finale in general <33 hehe

but particularly
"If I told you what I'm feeling now inside
you'd be certain there's not a single thing that we should hide
If I hold you there's one problem you should know
If I hold you I might not ever let you go"

seriously, that right there is why this show works. Because it is SOOOOO FREAKING SWEET!! I mean seriously, who wouldn't want to be THAT in love on their wedding day??? hehe

Geez, everytime I read anything about THE WEDDING SINGER on this web site it kills me that I don't live in New York.

Seriously, all you guys are like "Oh i'm a regular on Sundays....", "Oh, I just saw Tina last night! I'm seeing her again Thursday!" and i'm like lucky enough to see it the one time I was actually in New York.

Jealousyyyyy.

But either way, I kind of want to see Nicolette go on for Linda someday. Felicia is just so amazing in the role and probably one of my favorite cast members to talk to, but I'm just extremely curious about how she comes about the role. My friend saw her go on for Felicia and said that she was hilarious.

^I know EXACTLY how you feel!! If I'm rreeeally lucky I might get to go see it one more time... IF I'm really lucky. I mean, I'd probably get to SEE it more than that if I wanted, but as the school year gets really busy and I usually cant go into the city often at all until the summers, I probably wouldn't get to see it with the OBC ever again. And.. honestly, BECAUSE I would proably only get to see it one more time, I WOULDNT want to see any understudies or standbys next time. I want the FULL CAST! haha, most imporantly laura since I didn't get to see her when I went before. And stephen, because honestly I would rather go see eden in wicked or the drowsy chaperone or something if Stephen's not there haha. I'm sure other people would be very good at doing robbie, but... if I'm only going to be able to see the OBC one more time, I need to see it with Stephen- otherwise I want to see other shows that seem good :) If amy or felicia weren't there... so be it. I mean I absolutely ADORE them, and the stagedoor would be entirely lacking without la Felicia, buuut... it'd still be worh it I think :P But, obviously, I would DEFINITELY want them to be there. Its just, if they werent, it wouldn't be an ENTIRELY lost cause. thats all
