Posted: 7/13/06 at 11:02am^hahahha, YES, I bet it will become the new wicked- because it is THROUGHLY addicting!! seriously, I'm not kidding. I have lots of other shows I want to see, and I only get to go into the city maayyybe once or twice a year if I'm lucky, and I can usually only see one show per time, and you know what? I'm going back to see Wedding Singer again :P as far as I'm concerened, the other shows I want to see can wait till later hehe. I think the main reason its so addicting is simply because it is SOOOO FUN. Like, you just cannot get enough of it, you feel sooooooo good the ENTIRE time!! It's truly amazing that way. And also the cast, and their being so nice... I'd go back just for the stagedooring alone :P Oh, and also the show is REALLY a feast for the eyes, and its just so awesome to WATCH. The choreography, dancing, sets, and set changes are rather unbelievable and so that really adds to the enjoyment you get from the show. And... its just so freaking FUNNY!! lol. So... yeah... I personally think I'm MORE addicted to it than I am to wicked :P wellll, I was pretty darn addicted to wicked too... but a BIG part of that was idina haha

"seeing a SHOW 6 ,7, 8 TIMES?! " It does happen...
Since I moved here.i saw RENT many times, already forgot how many.I don't know the reason,I'm just loving it.
Sometimes I go to hairspray..just want to see the last number.Sometimes I go to wicked..just want to see "Defying Gravity"..and sometimes I went to light in the piazza..just want to hear Victoria live singing.
Seeing a show many times, everytime has a different meaning or reason.
Back to TWS...it really breaks my record.

I definitely will go to see TWS again~~but no lately...ha~ha~no money to buy the seat I want.
I really want to see the different cast.Till now,I haven't seen any understudy, like Tina,Cara and Nicolette. so I can't truly understand some reviews about them.I even want to see a different Robbie Hart...oh~no...I take it back!!ha~ha~Stephen always be the best one!!!
Is anyone already start collecting merchandise of TWS???How many it has??? I think they must be very expensive...

Psssh, don't lie. You know you want to see the Robbie Hart u/s. *COUGH*
And for the record, Zei, I don't think ANYTHING will ever be as bad as a lot of the Wicked fanatics. But I don't think seeing a show multiple times automatically makes you like that. I've seen Rent and Altar Boyz (before the new wave of fans came through) several times and I don't consider myself one of those crazies... :p
Edit: I also thought I might mention - and though I'm not one to normally spread rumors (I'm not sure how much of a rumor this is - but since I don't have actual confirmation..) - I heard the "big shot" producers were at the show last night and were there to see "audience reaction to Tina Maddigan". Not entirely sure what to make of that..

I hope that's a good thing...

My initial reaction was that it has something to do with Laura more than it does Tina.

How has this thread gone on for 9 pages and I haven't noticed?
I LOVE this show!!!!! I personally just love to watch the dancers and wish that I had more money and that I could go back to dance on a regular basis, but the whole show it just so much fun!
I was at the show last night. It was my second time seeing Tina and I think she's fantastic! She is really able to make the role her own. She added so many little things in there to make it fun and her own. I love that!

quite honestly, I think ALL my interest in this show might be gone when stephen leaves
I mean dont get me wrong, the shows got lots and lots of awesome things going for it, but its just.. the show needs a strong robbie to work. And.. this role was just MEANT for Stephen to play. Seriously, like, I have my suspicions that they wrote it specifically altering it to show off his best assets as a performer hehe. There will just.. never be another Robbie Hart like Stephen Lynch, I can guarantee it :)

Gee, I wonder WHY you of all people would want to see the Robbie u/s
Zeitoujo, honestly I don't think it will get as bad as the Wicked fangirls. Sure, people have seen the show multiple times but I've seen shows multiple times as well. It just depends on the show. If you like it and have the money, see it over and over.

I can either say "leave me and my wanting to see Kevin Kern on for Robbie alone!" or "Um, DUH."
Pick whichever you want to respond to. Haha.
Though I only said it because Mikey said they didn't want to see anyone but Stephen and I'm saying they should give Kevin a shot if they get the opportunity to see him on for Robbie. The same goes for you, SNL.

I mean, really. A lot of people say that and then a lot of people are pleasantly surprised by replacements (and understudies! - haha, had to throw that in there). So whenever the time comes for there to be a Robbie that isn't Stephen, I say give them a try.

Posted: 7/13/06 at 11:02pmokay okay, I'd probably see the show again even if stephen isn't in it :P I'm sure other people'd be awesome in it, I'm definitely denying that at all. It's just... this show is such stephen's niche, and when he's doing something that's his niche, he really is rather unbeatable. And I mean, could they really find someone else who's that funny, had that amazing a voice, AND is that gorgeous all at once!? haha. Like... I'm sure there are people who are that funny, people who are that great at singing, and that gorgeous, but Stephen's like the only one who's all three at once :P lol

Oooh, I wouldn't be so sure about that, SNL. Hahaha. But I do agree, Stephen is totally in his niche with this role.
