How is rush going for this show? Is it really hard to get student rush tickets?

GAH. I FINALLY saw it yesterday!!
in short-
Stephen Lynch= A genius. Just pure brilliance, in every aspect. And... he is waaaay too adorable for words. And, to top it all, he's a TOTAL sweetheart :P
Amy Spanger= a Goddess. and more. seriously.
Felicia Finley= pure love. she is BEYOND hysterical and amazing, AND very easily THE friendliest, but loveable, most easy to talk to person you'll ever meet! :P seriously, I like, want to spend a day with her just because she seems THAT incredibly fun!! she's insane and i love her for it hehehe
Tina Maddigan= Cute as a button and sweet as pie! And this is coming from someone who was, and still is, EXTREMELY biased toward Laura! But... tina's adorable and she did a REALLY great job, so I was very pleasantly surprised. Still need to see Laura, but tina was wonderful :)
and the show in general= just simply amazing. FLAWLESSLY written, sooo clever, AMAZING music, the SETS and set changes are to die for. Its basically a total feast for the eyes and ears. And the ENTIRE time either you're jumping up and down with exitement because the cast is so unbelievable, falling off the chair from laughter, or singing along to the music because its so catchy.
Yeah. I'd say I lurve it. A LOT
Glad you got to see Tina. She really is wonderful. (I still love Laura also, though)
Yayy, I'm glad you got to see it!
boatsintheghetto- You're almost definitely going to get tickets, but if you want front row you should get there about an hour before box office opens.

^^ I just have to say, your pic with amy is BEYOND adorable!! I mean, she's just beyond adorable in general, but its sooooo pretty!! Sorry, just had to say that haha. And I want her hair, particularly in that pic :P
I've never known anyone to have problems with the student rush. :)
And oooh, I'm dying to meet Amy. Have been ever since I got the Tick Tick... Boom! cast recording a few years ago. God, she's a vocal idol for me.
first off i haven't posted in a very long time so hi to everyone. Second of all i am glad to know that i am not the only one a little obsessed with this show. For me it started when i found out that Stephen Lynch was doing the show. I hated the movie so i was not sure whether or not i would like it. One day at a slow day of work i decided to leave and see the show. I got a good orchrestra seat and fell in love. The show is just pure fun. THe cast is a blast and everyone seems to have a lot of fun. Yeah that was my little blurb. I recommend everyone check out the show and also all of the side projects of the cast. Kevin's band is great glam rock- he is also very nice! and Stephen's work is just funny ****.
Thanks, SNL . Your pic is very cute too-- I saw it on SB.. unless there's a different SNL89 LOL.
"God, she's a vocal idol for me."
Same here. I'm a huge fan of both Stephen and Amys so meeting both of them was just amazing for me.

Amy is amazing. I remember hearing her on the tick, tick...BOOM cast recording and loving her voice. She's got such an amazing voice and she's just as amazing in Wedding Singer.

so has anyone else listend to the CD all the way through... if you wait like 5 or 7 seconds after the finale there's a little ditty where the band plays a song... i think they took it out of the show because when i saw it last week they said the line on the CD but not the song... it's the line where they go "enjoy your steak or fish while we go on a break" and then they sing...
BTW... i'm becoming more and more addicted to TWS.... i love the CD... i want to see the show again... too bad i'm in LA now... so sad

Did anyone see the tryout in Seattle??I just can't stop thinking the different.which one I would love it more...I saw 6 times on Broadway...and once in Seattle. It changeed a LOT!!Even I LOOOOOVE the Broadway version, but I do miss some scenes and songs in the tryout version~~~
By the way,the grosse of last week..just got 73.3%??? It fulled of people when I saw it last Friday.I thought it was sold out...
God~please let TWS keeps staying with us FOREVER...
The drop may have been due to the fact that it was the week of the 4th. Not entirely sure, but that's my guess. I'll start worrying if it doesn't go back up. :p

I'm seeing this in August. I heard It's Your Wedding Day and a dude was playing it at camp yesterday. It's gonna be sweet.
I'm (finally!) seeing it again in a little over a month. I can't wait!!
I find myself wanting to do the line dance when I listen to the album :). I know I am going to have to see this show again.

Not sure if this is off topic or not, but all this week Stephen Lynch is a commentator on VH1's I Love The 70's. He's been absolutely hysterical in his bits so far - even a little bit of singing!
It's weird, even though I knew about him as a comedian first, I can't help but look at him and be like "Robbie? What?"
I can't wait to see this show again. It is a pleasure seeing this original cast. New Yorkers: Take advantage of this!
oh my god, onedesirer, you saw it? i know that he does it but everytime i see it on tv i see the same exact episode. could anyone fill me in what years does he appear? like what episodes?

HAHA! Same here. When I turned it on the other night and there he was singing some Gordon Lightfoot, I was like "ROBBIE'S SINGING!" ... It's weird.
