Also... high school kids and college kids do not LOOK the way they used to... they look younger and younger. Had they cast actual high school-aged performers, it'd look the way a Disney Channel show would look now. And Mean Girls should read older and edgier.

Personally I don't (again) think this movie is necessary (which is okay, I'm allowed that opinion) but I'm glad it's happening for those who may not have been able to see the show on Broadway or they're unable to make any of the tour stops. And if the show doesn't go to the West End this is also good.

Actually I would LOVE if Tim Meadows came back as Principal Duvall, because he did play the role in the original movie, Mean Girls 2, and I just can't imagine anyone else

The cast has me intrigued and this could be a fun little streamer. I just hope Nell Benjamin takes this opportunity to replace some of those truly abhorrent lyrics.

I absolutely adore Auli’i but can’t get over how horrible a casting choice it is for her to play Janis.
Like the stage show itself, this is shaping up to be a hot mess.

I read the news, was like "cool" went on with my day...then realized they didn't announce that casting yet for Gretchen and Karen! Maybe..do you think it's possible they'd bring in someone who was in the Broadway cast or tour company?

I think the majority of people who say Cameron Dallas was bad, based their reactions solely on bootlegs or what other people told them. And that's unfair. I saw him in the role. While yes, I did slightly cringe at the first act, he settled into the role in the second half. However, I agree that much like James Corden should be kept away from Wicked, Dallas should be kept away from this movie.
