Then, the last few mezzanine rows dropped to $139, soI bought a $139 ticket.
But then several days later, the last 2 rows in the mezz dropped to $119.
I easily obtained a full refund for the $139 ticket, as many shows are fully refundable thru April 30.
But $119 is still high.
Weighing other options before biting on a $119 ticket.

Not sure if you noticed, but, for performances through 5/6, the front mezzanine and some great orchestra seats have dropped to $159. I would easily spend the extra $40 for a much better seat.

Hello Taffy,
This is a good point. I've got skin in the game again. Bought a Center Orchestra Seat for $139 in row O for April 21.

I won lottery tickets, but I'm not feeling up to it. Row P. $100 for 2. Will transfer in Ticketmaster app.

I see they have lowered some orchestra seats to $139, which is reasonable. They still have a zillion $299 seats for almost every show that 90% of those tickets are unsold. I'm sure they will be unsold until they drop the prices......or the show will close quickly......

Yes, and the mezzanine starting at row F is $99, going down to $69 at row L.

I won the lottery for this and sat in Row L, Seat 101, in the Mezz! Wasn't the best seat but wasn't the worst by any stretch.
Its genuinely funny and I had a great time because I didn't pay that much for it. I really wanted the singing to be better but it just wasn't there. The songs were fine but I just wanted their voice to have more punch and wow. Shoshana Bean is CRIMINALLY underused. The set was surprisingly subpar and not one you would associate with Broadway let alone a big name like Billy Crystal. All that to say I did have a good time and I found the classic humor funny and endearing. The book and jokes are there for sure.
I know Billy Crystal is the show but I could see this being a really funny and entertaining musical with people who can actually sing and do some dancing. But I know that's not the point.

Show is oddly sold out tonight and not on tkts. Anyone know why? Just weird for a thursday with a show that has not been filling to capacity

I think it's a press/voters night tonight. My friend votes for the Outer Critics Circle awards and he's seeing the show tonight.

Billy Crystal has the flu and is unable to perform; thus, tonight’s performance is cancelled.

Guess my friend will not be seeing the show tonight!
Hope Mr. Crystal gets well soon.

They expect Crystal to return tomorrow. This must be a new virus called "Jiffy Flu"

Couldn't they just have his standby go on? Not like the show is selling well.

Does he even have one? The Playbill doesn't list a standby or understudy. Maybe they assume, not unreasonably, that no one would bother if he weren't in it.

In the last couple of months I've been to shows where stars like Laurence Fishburne, Katrina Lenk, and Patti Lupone were out with COVID and was still happy to see those shows. But Company and American Buffalo are shows with existing reputations and fanbases beyond an individual actor. I would not have the same enthusiasm at seeing Mr. Saturday Night without Billy Crystal (and I actually did win the lottery for tonight's performance before it was canceled).
Hopefully Billy Crystal will be completely healthy and back onstage soon.

Is it? It's up at TKTS for 50% off.

Nevermind, it's for tomorrow's matinee.

Obviously, everyone is hoping he's feeling well enough to do both shows tomorrow, but he has the flu? In May?

Not sure if you’ve been out and about/how big your circle is, but people all over NYC are getting various kinds of sick. Allergies are especially brutal this year for everyone I know with them, I and a coworker were out for multiple days this week with varying symptoms (but never a positive test), etc. People also thought that getting their covid vaccine exempted them from a basic flu shot, so there’s that.
My theory is that it’s all a part of people going back to “normal life”, including not wearing masks on transit and doing things/being in environments or situations they probably haven’t been in over two years.

Every time my wife and I visit NYC (we’ve been probably 30-40 times) we try to experience something new. Thank goodness for this show we succeeded on this trip. First show we’ve ever walked out of at intermission.

Two quick questions: first, if you win the lottery, do you know the location before you decide to pay for it or not?
And second, I’ve seen a number of different (and wide ranging) answers in the running time, from 2:00 to 2:35. Anyone know what it’s currently running?
