It looks like they’ve moved a lot more dates over to the Belasco page. The date I was looking at still isn’t. I would check back randomly throughout the day and it will probably be here eventually. I imagine they’ll have them all over by the public on sale date.
"Our team is assigning you new seats in very comparable locations at the new venue, at the same price. We will send your new tickets prior to the performance via the delivery method you selected. If you chose to pick up your tickets at the box office, they will be available at the Belasco Theatre beginning November 10.
Your original order will be refunded, and your credit card will be charged for the new tickets."
Now i'm tense hoping i get the same seat, as i picked front row of stage seating, it should be identical layout theoretically.
When they moved The Prom, I went from a dead center seat to 1 seat off-center, due to seating differences between the Cort and the Longacre ,so I called and made them move me. I think they thought I was nuts.
For all who bought tickets when this was still at the Cort, I got an email today from Telecharge explaining the venue change and saying,
"Our team is assigning you new seats in very comparable locations at the new venue, at the same price. We will send your new tickets prior to the performance via the delivery method you selected. ... Your original order will be refunded, and your credit card will be charged for the new tickets. We don’t expect the process to take too long, and we will contact you shortly with an updated confirmation. We apologize for any inconvenience this venue change may have caused."
So a couple of days ago, I bought a ticket over the phone with Telecharge, and even asked about the switching from Cort to Belasco. The woman on the phone said they had heard about that (at the time I asked, but nothing was official yet) so she seated me in a seat at the Cort. I figured they would just reseat me at the Belasco when the time came, which is fine. I'm just concerned that I haven't received any of these emails regarding reseating. Is it just because I didn't buy a ticket online? Should I be concerned? :/ Just want to make sure I actually do have a seat for the day I am going.
What's a better seat at the Belasco: the last row of the mezzanine or the front row of the balcony? Is there a railing up in the balcony that obstructs the stage?

Here are a couple of threads about other productions at the Belasco that reference the railing, and the balcony vs. rear mezzanine:

I checked out what was available on the first day of the Amex presale, and a large portion of the center orchestra and the first 4 seats in most rows of each side orchestra section were not on sale, as well as quite a few seats in the first few rows of the mezzanine. If you search on a random day in the middle of Januaury/February, that'll give you an idea of what was released so far. Going by what I saw on the day they went on sale, a lot of those dates have very few sales.

Hmm, thanks. I've mostly been looking at November dates, and there's slim pickings in the orchestra and mostly the rear sections of the mezz/balc.
Slim pickings on seats? I bought mine the first day that it went on sale for Amex card holder. Sept 5.. It was selling out like mad. Someone I know at telecharge said that brokers were scoffing up seats and they had to limit them. I mentioned that at that rate nothing would be left for the public when it was to go on sale on Sept 12 or 14. Not surprisingly, it wasn't long before they changed the the theater to the Belasco.
I had to escalate my ticket transfers to upper management b/c someone canceled 3 of my tickets. After 2 hours of being on the phone, they still weren't able to get one of them back. I escalated it up the ranks and learned that the producers are doing the ticket swaps, not telecharge. That was why I never got any notice via email or in my telecharge account of the changes to my tickets. It took 4 hours on the phone before we got any of it fixed. And I was told they would mail the new tickets out. I said I didn't want them mailed b/c I always do box office hold. The telecharge folks forwarded me an email with the new seat locations. So if you don't hear anything, call them.
I'm also unsure how this will affect audience rewards. What a mess.
Disturbing JayElle to say the least. You picked Stage Seating right? When I called Telecharge last week I was told Stage Seating should not be affected by the switch.
