Still no word yet on re-issued tickets as of 9/22. I checked my credit card and the original charge is still there. According to Telechage's email, the charge was going to be refunded and then redebited. I understand from Telecharge that this an inter-theatre issue, not Telecharge's.
I never heard from them about re-issued tickets either, so I called Telecharge and they confirmed my new seats (they're in the same location as my old ones). They also gave me a new confirmation number.
I'm told the same thing, Jared. I've called twice this week and was asked to be patient because my ticket is for early January so I've got time. They're blaming it on the Belasco folks. My AmEx card was charged $264 on Sept. 5 and I have nothing to show for it. Very frustrating...
I remember seeing the Jimmy Smits rumor by the same person who said Maslany was being cast, so maybe he had to drop out? Tony Goldwyn's a bigger name than Smits, though (and should be great in the part).
My tickets have finally been reissued but I’m now 4 rows further back in Row F
I was in Row A 107 & 108 at the Cort back when row BB was front row of the Centre ORCH. But now that Row A is the front row at the Bellasco, Row A 107 doesn’t exist in the new seat chart.
I’m torn, annoyed I don’t have the front row directly in front of the runway but Row F will offer a better overall view.
I'm seeing the show in early December, and bought my Cort seat on the first day of the Amex presale. Finally got an email from Telecharge on 9/30 saying that my seat at the Belasco was purchased and it gave me a new order number. Today, 10/1, I got an email from Amex saying that I received a Telecharge refund, and I just checked my credit card and there is also a new Telecharge charge for the same amount. So it looks like I should actually be getting my PDF ticket in a few days.
Just bought my Foodwork ticket - very excited. Do we think they'll have as extensive of a menu as the National production? They downsized the amount of seats on stage by half, so there's less people to cook for/serve.
Took some time, but I got confirmation from Telecharge today that my new tickets are all set, and they are the same as the ones I originally purchased. So, nothing to be mad as hell about...
Since you finally got your confirmation, Sally, may I ask what's your performance date? Calling Telecharge has been unproductive for me; keep asking me to be patient. It's almost a month since I bought my Jan. 9 ticket, and I'm getting quite antsy...having coughed out $264 with nothing to show for it.
Thanks for the info, Sally. I'll give it another week but have to admit this is one of the slowest, sloppiest exchange I've been through. Seems to me that they would have accommodated the early ticket buyers' exchanges first...but what do I know?
I keep trying to buy tickets but every time I press on a date all seats are not available. I thought the dates i was looking at were just sold out but I pressed on days that had "best availability" and there were still no seats...has this happened to anyone else?
Okay....I'm gonna be that person. Why would the producers (other than money) want to serve a four course meal onstage during the production? If it is not already distracting enough to watch a show, now audience members have to watch people chow down during the show. I had the beginning of Torch Song ruined for me, last week, when an elderly person came in once the lights were down, refused to sit down and didn't know how to turn off her cell phone. I would have killed her if she started eating a 4 course meal.
according to the press release, the food is being served as before house opens and it gives those who purchased tickets the opportunity to see crew/cast get ready for a performance while having a 4-course meal.
In the BroadwayWorld headline, it states that dinner and drinks will be served THROUGHOUT the evening, with the play's actions surrounding them onstage.
