Well, let's narrow it down, shall we? What shows are opening this season that haven't announced a venue yet? Then, which one of those shows sound like they'd work best in the round...Hmm.

I know this is me dreaming, but I was thinking today how the Circle in the Square would be perfect for a Broadway production of Heathers

In Transit is my first guess, second would be Amelie

You are fogetting, that Circle in the Square has flexible seating and does not have to have all productions in the round.

I hate that Fun Home will be gone before I'm up there again, I never got a chance to see it.
With that being said, I'm still hoping for a transfer of People Places and Things from West End, and Circle in the Square would be a good theater to recreate the staging (at least based on the videos I've seen of it).

Can anyone give a bit more information on In Transit? I googled but all I got was an acapella musical that last had a concert at 54 Below this year. Is that all? Are they really going from concert to Broadway?

Kind of wish Dear Evan Hansen held off for Circle in the Square.

I doubt they will hold out for when it is ready, but I have a feeling that Come From Away could be breathtaking here.

While this might seem surprising to some, I can tell you they never wanted a theater that small.

Dear Evan Hansen would have had trouble with projections etc. too. I wish The Great Comet had held off, actually. But latter gives us an opportunity to see some exciting reimagining of a theater space, so I'm not too upset about this.
Do we have a theater for Singin' In The Rain yet?

There's no way Singing in the Rain is playing there nor is Come from Away. Far too small. They'd never turn a profit.

I wish Here Lies Love or Murder Ballad would do a Broadway transfer here. But both are long gone #DayDreams

no way SINGIN IN THE RAIN goes here. It's likely waiting for a big theater to become available. Maybe the Marquis by the Spring??

The timing of this IN TRANSIT casting notice (6/16) and their late '16 targeted launch does make it seem like a very strong possibility. http://www.actorsequity.org/CastingCall/browse_notice.asp?NoticeID=41321&NoticeType=1 Also it's capitalized at around $6M and estimates running costs will be "well below $500K." http://broadwayjournal.com/frozen-composers-a-cappella-musical-in-transit-seeks-express-train-to-broadway/

I heard from production that "In Transit" was offers the space a few months back for the fall. Seems a good space for it. Looking forward to it. Saw a version at the York several years ago and I know they changed a lot.

What were your thoughts on it years ago, and anyone else's, if they saw the recent 54 Below concert? It sounds quite intriguing as a concept, but I could also see it going into the realm of gimmicky very quickly.
I would also like to put a word in for The Bandstand being a potential good fit for CITS (either in-the-round or in a more traditional staging), despite recent speculation that the show is no longer coming.

What exactly are you all using to "qualify" something for this space. What big, splashy musicals have played here? None. It's a small space. Good for an ensemble style music or play. The Bandstand has a big band on stage, needs room for dancing, etc. I don't think that'd ever go here.
