Kind of confused how he fell off the stage in that scene...? I can't recall any of the previous Marys I've seen ever needing to come that close to the edge of the stage.

JCM’s performance has a lot of adrenaline behind it. When you are in the zone and running around in a blackout, I suppose anything is possible.

John is out tonight. Not sure if it’s related to the fall mentioned earlier, but it wasn’t scheduled.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Probably will be on all weekend. Look at how long JCM was out in Hedwig.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Weirdly enough, when I saw it with John I noticed more than before just how incredibly dark those blackouts between scenes actually are.

I've been watching the tickets and noticed a day or two before they announced her tickets started to creep up ~$20 a seatr. So I went ahead and pulled the trigger right before they announced her, glad I did in hindsight

I just bought a weekend ticket for June.  Rear orchestra for $199.  Not everything is crazily priced ... yet.

Yeah. When I left, they weren’t 100% sure if JCM was back tonight. Simu is out the rest of the weekend because of the Oscars tomorrow.

Hannah & Julian were one incredibly hilarious combination though. Both of them are complete fools willing to go all out and have the show in their bones. Julian’s crash out in the bar even got some pretty solid applause. If you have the chance to ever see them together, I highly recommend. Probably one of the best Mary/Teacher pairing since Jane & Cheyenne

Curious if Julian is on tomorrow or Sean Forte gets his debut?

Bianca Leigh, Phillip James Brannon, and Cheyenne Jackson are all returning on April 28th, joining Maya Rudolph as Mary. Bless up.

Nice to see that they are bringing back some of the tried-and-true cast, especially Cheyenne. It makes sense since Maya Rudolph dis going to be the blockbuster casting, so they don’t need to cast the other roles with huge names.

Looks like they are all just doing the 8 weeks for now. Considering Cheyenne has many concert engagements, it makes sense.

Guessing that after Maya's run, we'll have an all new cast.

Except Tony. Tony will still be playing Mary’s Husband’s Assistant until the end of days.

He hews closer to the Conrad model of repressed sexuality into bubbling anger, but was the first to add a bit of mincing to the role as opposed to playing it completely straight (no pun intended). I saw him opposite Betty, Tituss, and Hannah and he is a really great anchor for whoever he plays opposite (although in the case of Tituss, Phillip had to do a lot of heavy lifting in their scenes since Tituss was rather laconic).

Cheyenne is so great. I hope at some point Urie returns because nobody has made me laugh harder in that role than he did.

I hope so too! Michael was definitely my favorite!

I'll push back gently on the idea that Conrad didn't play Lincoln as visibly gay, because he had a trick of choosing moments where he would drop Lincoln's butch posturing and reveal the much more femme man that lay underneath.

I accept your fair pushback. He tended to calibrate it based on the day and the audience. He would loosen the gay a bit more if he didnt think the audience was getting it.

Somehow that makes me appreciate his performance even more. The code-switching involved in his work was hysterical and subtle...or as subtle as one can be in this particular show!

I love that first "Oh, fuuuuuuuck" line from Mary's Husband as he's checking out Mary’s Husband’s Assistant. I'll be seeing this in London in a couple of months and am so excited to see how this translates.
