I saw this yesterday and enjoyed it. Thought it was very clever and fun. That said, why the hell would anyone pay $330 to see this. Listed at 80 minutes, it is a 70 minute play with a 10 minute musical filler at the end.
I saw the 5:00pm performance from a great partial view seat in the orchestra. I saw The Outsiders before and The Notebook after it, so it was the perfect gap filler. I laughed out loud a few times and genuinely enjoyed it. Had I paid $330, I would have been pissed.
Fun! fun! Fun! But $330 for 70 plus minutes!!!
Conrad just posted last night that he broke a rib on a CitiBike, so he is out for an undetermined amount of time.

How terrible. Hopefully he's not out for long. They do have another standby coming in, but for Mary Todd Lincoln/Mary's Chaperone.
I hope Conrad has a fast recovery.
i believe character Mary’s Husband has 2 understudies: Peter Smith and Martin Landry? I’ve seen Martin Landry perform as Mary’a Husband and thought he was great.

I saw this Thursday at 5:00pm and I enjoyed it, laughing out loud several times. That said, I was very happy that I had a perfectly fine partial view ticket, since I only paid $69 for it. This was a very slender, very clever extended skit, and I would have been very annoyed if I paid $330, which is what about half of the orchestra seats cost.
CR was out, which I was happy about, since I have never liked him in anything since he ruined ‘I Have Dreamed’ in TKAI. His understudy was terrific. I don’t have the playbill with me, so I will only say that the gent who played Booth was also terrific.
Escola was absolutely terrific as Mary, and the last two scenes were so clever. This has been a great trip so far.
Conrad will be out “for the foreseeable future” due to a biking accident.

Here's wishing Ricamora a speedy recovery! Honest, his Abe is such a riot. I love how he finds varying levels of anger, agony and aggravation to match Cole Escola's marvelously madcap Mary Todd.
As director Sam Pinkleton told Broadway.com: ''Conrad is so amazing because he has so much gravity. He's playing a tortured man in a high-pressure situation. The gateway to the comedy is really doubling down on what's actually happening to these people.”

Landry will likely be on as Mary's Husband for the next few weeks. If Conrad is going to be out longer, the show will need to apply for a medical hardship so Landry can play the role for a longer stretch. Or they may alternate Landry & Peter Smith in the role until further notice.
I did always want Andrew Rannells to take over eventually - maybe now might be prime time for a test run 🤔
has Bianca Leigh missed a show yet?

Wondering if any of you have sat in A 22 or 24, far front row (house right) in the mezzanine.
I know about aviewfrommyseat, but there isn’t a pic. There is one far left, but it’s from a different production.
Seats are marked partial view, but aim wondering how partial they really are.

Further back, the PV is not that bad, though in the mezzanine, you’ll be blocked by the boxes partially.
PV in the orchestra is different. I would avoid house left partials but house right is fine and nothing major is missed joke-wise

''has Bianca Leigh missed a show yet?''
I haven't heard of Bianca Leigh or Tony Macht missing any.
I'm a big fan of James Scully, making his Broadway debut as Mary's Teacher. But I once caught his understudy, Peter Smith, when he went on, and Smith was wonderful.
I'm really curious about Hannah Solow, who'll step in for Cole Escola's scheduled absences on Nov. 11 and 13.

I was in a House Left partial view — L17 if I remember correctly — and I thought the seat was very good. Mary was on the settee a couple of times and the view was not perfect, but I had no problem seeing her. I did remember thinking that House Right would have been even better because nothing takes place on the far right of the stage. Whereas Stage Left has a settee, stage right has a book case and a book was taken from it once, as I recall. For the price, and considering how much more expensive the seats that are slightly more center are, I think it is a great deal.

I don't think Bianca has missed any Broadway performances yet. Tony was out for I think one performance in August, and Martin went on for him.

That's where I'm sitting, so that's good to hear. I could only justify $99 for this play. I'm very excited.

I enjoyed it quite a lot but still thought that I would have been upset if I had paid what a lot of people did. It is a lot of fun, but it is still essentially a very clever extended skit. As it is, I thought I lucked out.

Peter has gone on multiple times as Mary's Teacher. I don't believe Hannah has gone on yet on Broadway.

Per social media, Peter Smith is going on tonight as Mary's Husband.

This is Peter's debut in the role.
Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed Oh Mary, but it’s every Charles Busch show I’ve ever seen. There’s nothing new here. Over the top camp. It’s fun but the wheel hadn’t been reinvented.
The wheel doesn’t have to be reinvented for something to be great.
