1. I Never touch newsprint. It's dirty. (Were it up to me, the world would be digital. Save the trees. They are our lungs and I hear you need all the oxygen you can get.)
2. No clue. Never seen it in an ad budget though.

“THANKS HOGANS! I DO LOVE TRAIPSING! I have no obsession with the show, I just think it stinks.”
You joined to talk about the show. You’ve literally only posted about this show or Garth Darbinsky. I’d say obsessed is accurate.
The critic for the Post, though a nice fellow and fun to read, is a huge MAGA Trumper and his agenda manifests itself frequently in his reviews. I

I wouldn't assume it's a COVID case. She could be doing press for the show or just needs some extra rest after their opening weekend. That is the only reason why Aisha is there.
I did speak to Aisha recently, and she doesn't have a specific standby schedule (i.e. Wed. & Sat. matinees). I'm hoping this does become a thing though before I get to NYC in May!

Unless it's Covid related and that is confirmed, people need to STOP spreading false information about Covid in certain companies. Thanks so much.

It's not COVID.

I saw the Saturday matinee, having seen Joaquina previously, it was clear she had something she was fighting and even coughed a few times, so I’m not surprised she’s out. I’ve been a Joaquina fan since her Wild Party appearance at Encores. I’ve been watching her and waiting for her to breakthrough and she’s giving a tour de force performance in this!

Anyone know if she was back in for the evening performance?

Joaquina was out at last night's performance, as well. First time seeing the show and, as a fan and after hearing so many good things, I was disappointed not to see her, but Aisha was excellent.
Has there been any news on a cast recording? Really, really hoping they record one - I'm already itching to hear those songs again! (Apologies if this has been discussed already.)

They will record the album sometime this month.

Aisha was incredible as Nelly last night. Well-deserved standing O for her Let it Burn.

Every performance through the first of May is now on TDF, and other discounts including TKTS are available. Anyone wanting to see the show should be able to find a more affordable ticket.
My guess from the posts: Ms. Kulakango has had a cold/equivalent and will return to the full 8. Elsewhere, I've heard speculation that she will use the standby as alternate. Not verified.
It's important that it's being recorded. As noted above, this show likely has a full life elsewhere, particularly colleges. Recorded scores matter in promoting subsidiary rights. And for now, a music drop might well help it on Broadway. I went early because I liked the Chicago clips I'd heard on YouTube.

Just canceled their performance for tonight “out of abundance of caution due to COVID cases in the company” according to Instagram

You can say that again. I finally got to see it yesterday and Aisha was great. One song can't hold up a show though. But I agree with what everyone has said please replace the lamppost with a clip of "Let it Burn."

In a recent piece for Gold Derby, Sam Eckmann wrote about the possibilities of how far Joaquina Kalukango could go in this year's Tony race for Best Lead Actress in a Musical.

I’ve canceled my trip Saturday as I’m not confident there will be a show. I’m pretty sad about it.
