1. I Never touch newsprint. It's dirty. (Were it up to me, the world would be digital. Save the trees. They are our lungs and I hear you need all the oxygen you can get.)

Joaquina is out of today's matinee.

I wouldn't assume it's a COVID case. She could be doing press for the show or just needs some extra rest after their opening weekend. That is the only reason why Aisha is there.

I did speak to Aisha recently, and she doesn't have a specific standby schedule (i.e. Wed. & Sat. matinees). I'm hoping this does become a thing though before I get to NYC in May!

It's not COVID.

I saw the Saturday matinee, having seen Joaquina previously, it was clear she had something she was fighting and even coughed a few times, so I’m not surprised she’s out. I’ve been a Joaquina fan since her Wild Party appearance at Encores. I’ve been watching her and waiting for her to breakthrough and she’s giving a tour de force performance in this!

Joaquina was out at last night's performance, as well. First time seeing the show and, as a fan and after hearing so many good things, I was disappointed not to see her, but Aisha was excellent.

Has there been any news on a cast recording? Really, really hoping they record one - I'm already itching to hear those songs again! (Apologies if this has been discussed already.)

Aisha was incredible as Nelly last night. Well-deserved standing O for her Let it Burn.
