Just going from the photos here, it looks like most of what was thrown out was wiring and wood and stuff like that. It seems like the production knew how much interest there would be in props/set pieces and made sure to put them in storage.
Just passed the theater to take some pictures and they are clearing out the seats. They offered to sell me one for $5 but I have nowhere to put it since I’m flying home today. In case anyone is interested! By the way, I don’t think it’s an official thing, just go to the door where you can see in the house, and they are pulling up the seats.

Really? They'll sell you a seat?

On the rentals page of the NETworks website it's interesting that POTO isn't listed as available (or coming soon) but it is shown in the video of clips from shows on that page. But it doesn't look like the Broadway designs.

That footage is from Cameron Mackintosh's awful "reimagined" production with the rotating drum set."
Which toured via NETworks and was equity. So they likely also have those sets still. CMac may have an existing agreement with them which includes the Broadway sets now.
This is a longshot, but does anyone have the revised lyrics for "Masquerade" which were implemented when the show reopened after the pandemic shutdown?

What changed back? If you're referring to my post about "Masquerade", that's not true. I attended the Broadway final public performance and they were still singing the revised lyrics that were implemented in October 2021.

Yes, at the reopening after COVID when Brits came in to work, the lyrics changed to be consistent with the London version. It threw me at the last performance for a bit- and to hear Carlotta singing more Italian too!
According to someone who's been documenting the entire loadout, yesterday was the last day of loading Phantom out. Now the restoration of the Majestic can begin.
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
We're coming up on two months since the Broadway closing and it still doesn't seem possible. For all of you still sad about the show's closure, I feel you.
Today I was watching a YT vid and someone in the comments said it's seeming like the London production will be closing next March....! Is this really a rumor some of you have heard? I was surprised reading it.

Always wonder why when a show being extended translates to mean the show is going to close then? They are probably going to play it by ear (like most shows), but with a new Phantom in Jon Robyns, who recently completed a successful run as Jean Valjean and Holly Ann Hull finally, deservedly, taking over as the principal Christine, they appear to have a solid cast. Doubt ALW and Cammack are anxious to close the West End production down any time soon. JMO.
For what it’s worth, tickets are on sale through March 2nd, 2024 - and there are a surprising number of seats either sold or blocked off for both shows on the 2nd, and one on the 1st. Browsing also shows the next few weeks are selling quite nicely, so I wonder why they would close - especially after the renovation and all that jazz.
This is how they do the booking for the West End production, they just release blocks of tickets up until a specific date on a regular basis and announce it each time. It's a smarter move than having a completely open ended run to keep the tickets moving if people think there's only a limited amount of time they can book tickets for. This is how they've done it for a while.
'Hamilton' does this too. Ticket bookings are currently only open through December 30, 2023 and we all know it's not closing at the end of the year.
I think with the Broadway production having closed this year people are now paranoid about the West End production closing and are jumping to that conclusion despite this being how they've done it for so long.
I can't help but wonder if the Broadway production had done their ticket sales this way if things would've been different and they could've sold more tickets more consistently in the period before they announced the closing.
I'm pretty sure this is how Broadway does their booking too? I'm not sure how much in advance they had at the time but it wasn't like you could just book for 5 years in the future. But because it was open for so long, people just assumed it would be around forever. Like for shows like Lion King and Hamilton even though there's an end to the booking date, you just assume they'll still be there in 3 years (similar to what you mentioned)
I might be wrong then, I thought I'd seen or read that they didn't follow exactly the same method...it may have been more so they didn't announce the extensions the way they do for the West End productions?
Very nice to see Phantom honored tonight during the Tony Awards. Wish more cast members were included in the photos, but at least a few vets got in there.

And, although Joaquina Kalukango has a great voice, it's not right for "Wishing". They should have gotten someone from Phantom to sing the song.

Agreed. I wonder if they might have reached out to Sarah Brightman about this, and perhaps she turned it down? Her 'live' concert performances are very carefully 'technically controlled' these days, so I'm not surprised she wouldn't want to do the telecast.
I was very surprised Emilie didn't perform it, though.

Agree. If I were to guess, however, she was invited back so that Funny Girl wouldn't be the only representative from last year.
Now that Jordan Donica will be available after this month they should bring the show back asap so he can play The Phantom. Would be one of the shows best casting decisions in years
