Turned off the cable box, turned it back on, just in time for the end of the title number. Stupid Fox.
Sounds like they're using recorded segments because the guy playing Mark broke his ankle in rehearsals and can't do most of his stuff live any more.

Actually it was Brennin who plays Roger.
Turns out I had too many shows recording simultaneously. Seems to be fixed now. What Im seeing now is not inspiring me with hope for this production.

It's a shame that everyone else worked so hard to get ready for tonight but because of a fluke accident Fox now has to show the taped version.

Had no picture or sound on Optimum too. It's working now.

Aaaah One Song Glory. I absolutely love this song. It sounded good!
My FOX here in Jersey/New York was weird with that Burger show before it. You could hear the background music but not the characters talking. It went off and just got the FOX logo for a minute and then the rent commercial and then it started.
So are they just not doing this live at all?

I've got this recording on the DVR to watch later so I can skip the commercials, but I would imagine they're toggling between live and the pre-recorded segments as needed. In the past, I believe they've said that when the live production begins they essentially press play on the recorded dress rehearsal, so that if anything goes wrong during the night they can switch the feed over as needed.
yea it's bad low nrg...boring. just bla so far...so, I'll leave it on dvr and watch the SAG awards instead
So as they just said in that little insert, this is just Rent: not that live.
A disclaimer with the cast aired before the first commercial break explaining that the show's second act will be re-worked around Brennin Hunt's broken foot and that portion will be performed live.
So it sounds like Act 1 is 100% prerecorded and Act 2 will have some live and some prerecorded
Understudies folks. You need understudies or you are going to have to forego the live! Hype
