Isn’t Emursive productions behind this? With the abrupt closing of Life and Trust should we be worried this’ll have the same fate?

I dont believe it’s been confirmed Emursive is part of this.

That phone number reminds of the early 90's -
"Call 1-900-PHANTOM and talk to the Phantom of the Opera, now! $1.99 the first minute, $3.99 each additional minute. Ask your parents permission"

The Really Useful Group (ALW’s company) is the lead production company on this. Emursive isn’t involved.

Is Neil Patrick Harris hinting at being featured in this return?

Probably just attempts at viral marketing.

Maybe, I can see him as the MC of the whole "experience" who leads people in the rooms, garden, and sex dungeon. But, he doesn't have the range to actually be in the show.

NPH is a fan of immersive shows and even did guest spots in Sleep No More, so it makes sense to have him as somebody promoting it.

Will this show ever get announced? Or is it just a series of teasers?

Someone claimed Diane Paulus was directing this (which seems a little far-fetched but she has experience with immersive theatre, and her husband Randy Weiner works extensively in that space) but now I don't remember where that rumor came from.
Is that true?

This is all quite fascinating to me. ALW's so known for his desire for control and now randomly at 77 he seems to have swerved left and decided he's open to letting you try out anything with his material. He's even willing to fund some of it!

I’m sure the failure of BAD CINDERELLA and the CATS movie juxtaposed with the success of Lloyd’s SUNSET was a wakeup call that he needed to shake things up and expand his list of collaborators beyond people like Laurence Connor.
He also has a very bright, younger producer working alongside him in London now, Michael Harrison.
I wish Cameron Mackintosh would do the same. I’d love to see a totally new take on LES MIS.

Immersive theater like this takes a long time to develop and requires extensive testing with people actually going through the space. I imagine they will not announce until they feel it is ready for a paying audience. Right now, building buzz is all they can do.

I was walking down W. 57th St. about an hour ago. They had the doors to "Lee's Art Shop" open. They were loading in a large piece of equipment or scenery. It was wrapped in plastic. I did manage to sneak a peek inside. It is very much still under construction and doesn't look even remotely close to being finished, but there were a lot of people working inside that first floor area that I could see into. It looked like someone was installing lighting sconces on the wall, which might be reminiscent of the Paris Opera House.

Do you think we are getting close to an announcement?
The latest Instagram post suggests we are inching closer.

Any rumours out there about a launch?

I’m convinced they will officially announce during the Tony awards. Andy has the money.

Finally. We already know where it’ll be and roughly when. Mostly, at this point, I want to know how much money they’re expecting us to shell out for it. I’m guessing $150 minimum, plus whatever VIP upgrades and premium pricing they can wring out.

Do we know when? I know they mentioned "early July" some time ago, but is that still feasible?

I’ve heard September. They had originally intended to open in July, but I think that was pushed back due to building/set-related delays.

Has there been any rumors about a start date or first preview date? Any guesses?
I’ll have my fingers ready to purchase on June 30, but wish I had some idea of when this is going to start.

Some more details announced:
- apparently this is a 6-week run, or has a 6-week preview period? "You are strongly advised to sign my ledger by the 30th of June. This will ensure you will be granted access to my production during the six weeks I have elected to present it to a very fortunate few."
- a black, white, and silver dress code
- masks are required but not included in your ticket price (lol)
