I know you probably can’t but I’m insanely curious if there’s any insight you can give about what this may be. With the rumored price tag I wouldn’t mind hearing a reason that’ll turn me off to spending $200 on this lol.
I’ve seen another rumor surface that one of the three (or supposedly six, three principles and three understudies) Phantoms will be Hugh Panaro.
Hugh’s name had been linked to a workshop of this production in the past, as well as former Broadway understudies Paul Schaefer and Jeremy Stolle.
Very interesting if true.
Another interesting rumor I’ve seen is that the show might actually be cut down to ballpark 75 minutes - which will be interesting to see what stays and goes if true.

Then save yourself time and money and don’t see it. This isn’t and never will be the full production you’re pining for, so just let it go. Simple. Phantom will be back in full someday, I guarantee it, but let’s maybe put the original production to rest on this side of the pond. She more than had her time.
Everything reported in this thread so far is mostly speculation. We have no idea how much they’ll be cutting the material, but it’s almost guaranteed they will in some capacity. If that doesn’t sit well with you, not sure what to say.
It’s also very possible the show will “loop” (repeat itself) and be longer in total than 75-90 minutes. Sleep No More was about 45 minutes that looped three times; Life and Trust is a little over one hour and loops twice; and Then She Fell was about 40 minutes and looped three times. The audience will likely pass through different scenes per loop, as they do in most immersive shows.

You do know that people are allowed to comment here, right?"
The real question is why you think paying $200 (hypothetically) for a ticket means you shouldn’t have to walk around? It’s not a punishment; it’s the whole reason the show is going to exist. If you don’t want to do that, congrats! You just saved yourself irritation and money.
“You do know that people are allowed to comment here, right?”
you’re wasting energy on something you clearly don’t want to see. If walking doesn’t sound like your thing, don’t go! See something you actually want to see.

I believe the Vegas version was about 90 minutes I believe, with nothing cut except the recitatives. Cutting a bit more I'm sure would be some of the relative "filler" so I don't think it'll be that horrid. That said, I still can't imagine how such a fluid show will work stopping to get up and move locations.

Why do people like you basically get to tell other people to shut up, while simultaneously shoving your personal opinions down those same people's throats? Simple. You don't, so just let it go.

Sharing opinions on a discussion board is a two-way street. ColorTheHours048 was perfectly respectful to you.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
In my dreams, any post that includes the phrase "you know you don't have to ..." would fail to post because of the likelihood that the original commenter indeed does "know they don't have to ... " as well as the automatic retorts the "you know" posts engender.
We’re all allowed to post whatever we want on this board. I haven’t told anyone to shut up, nor am I shoving my opinions down anyone’s throat. What I have done is offer perspective that might help others determine whether or not this particular production will be up their alley, with the slightest bit of salt toward posters who seem in protest of its very existence for some strange reason.
If you feel somehow attacked by this, my apologies. I know Phantom - particularly the original production - is special in the hearts of many a theatregoer. This is not the original production, however, and expecting it to be is a fool’s errand.
The honest to God's truth of the matter is that Phantom has been a museum piece for 30+ years and it's left some people completely incapable of taking a new interpretation of it on its own terms instead of the ones they've built up in their heads. Thats a problem for them and only them to work out, just know that's a very childish stance to have. Its not even like they're adapting the musical into something like... Phantom of the Mall where instead of playing an organ, he's... lifting weights. Lol
