Mattbrain-I shall edit: I personally do not like Ahrens & Flaherty but understand why people love them. They're occasionally tuneful when they so choose. (Some songs from Ragtime grab me-mainly Back to Before and the Opening/Prologue.)
I only like one Wildhorn score-Bonnie and Clyde-and that's because it's actually written in the style of the era. I wish more composers and lyricists would do that.

Lots of bros and straight couples on the preview I attended.
Yes, they get frustrated when the characters start singing and begin counting how many songs left til the end on their Playbill.
Mostly a younger-ish crowd.

And now we're putting down my opinion. Real classy. But I wouldn't expect anything less from this cesspit of a message board.

"What was the average age of people in the audience?"
27 and 29.
I have a question about seating for tonight's show. Would you recommend 11th row extreme side orchestra or 2nd row center mezzanine? Are you able to see the last 20 minutes from the mezzanine or is it obstructed?
I was in the center mezzanine last night, which was a great view, aside from the fact that the seats are incredibly cramped, uncomfortable, and small. I ended up shoving my jacket under my seat. I'd go with second row center mezzanine, for sure. Updated On: 2/18/14 at 02:55 PM

I'm going to try the lottery tonight.
As for BroadwayWorld being a cesspool... roflol. What else is new? This place has some wonderful posters with intelligent thoughts on theater that I cherish reading and perhaps a smaller group of @$%^&$! who I just ignore.
Hopefully, I'll win the lottery and will return tonight with my thoughts.
Best12bars, that's an interesting point that A&F's best scores have been genre-based. Certainly, my two favorites of theirs are Ragtime and Once On This Island. Rocky's songs mostly served the story, but they just felt so generic. A score that evoked the 1970s might have been more interesting.

CessPIT, dammit! :P
I'm hearing some more noticable changes will be implemented tomorrow.
Saw it. As many have previously stated, the ending is pretty spectacular but getting to it is a bit of a slog.
I don't understand the people who are bitching that the set is too big. Are you kidding me? If the set was mininalistic, people would bitch that it was cheap. This is a huge show. You definitely see your hundred or so bucks at work on the stage.
I thought Andy Karl was extremely charismatic and totally charming. However, it feels less like an acting performance than a straight up note for note impression of Stallone's original performance.
The audience I was with loved every minute. This is going to be a very big hit.
Kad, would you say that tomorrow is a bad day to see the show? I don't really want to sit through any stoppages.

Intermission and no delays! First act went off without a hitch and Rocky didn't lose his accent.

From what I understand, they're textual and music changes.

I don't know about Drood, but Andy did have a car for Jersey Boys. I don't know who provided it to him, I can only guess the production company. I know he had it as he told me he did and when I was at the show I would walk him to it as it was parked across 8th avenue.

The show was 2 hours and 40 minutes last night without any stoppages.

As per TERESA2's response in past dating tickets. I called telecharge to ask that and they said they do not past date TDF tickets, you have to contact TDF. I was wondering since I saw they had tickets ALL THE WAY & wanted to buy them, but didn't know 100% if I would be able to go. Since I would not have the actual ticket in hand with the barcode number and all I didn't think you could past date them if you didn't pick them up from the box office because how are you going to give telecharge the info needed to identify your tickets. Any comments on this? It would be nice to know in the future that if I purchase a ticket from TDF but can not make it last minute that I could past date the ticket even though it's at the box office and not at hand. Thank you.
Saw it tonight. I really don't know what to say....

This is a feel good spectacle for the masses. The last twenty minutes left me speechless but I felt good after.

If that is what telecharge said then things have changed. I past dated tdf tickets two years ago and I didn't have a problem doing it.
Thank you for calling and checking bstoll1. I am glad I know for future reference.
