Could you let us know what it’s looking like now? I have rheumatoid and really not sure I can be out there any earlier than 9 without putting my body in pain."
Wound up coming earlier and just wanted to let folks know that there are only about 100 people here so far. But keep an eye on folks ahead trying to have friends join them later."
This has turned into an annoying feature with rush lines. There's also a few "friends" that end up cutting the line about an hour or less before the box office opens.
Just got here and I am 65th in line.

Already having people show up and joining the line. I have a headache and am too tired to argue. But lord, I’m very sick of people who do this and am realizing why it’s been YEARS since I’ve joined a box office line.

We all got here way too early 🤣
If 400 people don't show, do we think they'll still be selling $19.59 tickets throughout the day?

This really is annoying. And, I really hate when people do this. Specially when it’s people who join in on the very front of the line close to the box office opening thereby potentially screwing over anyone who had gotten their early on.
I usher for Shubert (among other places, I can work anywhere that my union covers and it’s not all strictly Broadway.) But, that said, there was one day awhile back where I was only scheduled to work that night, so I did the rush line for Jagged Little Pill. Bartender co worker of mine turned out to be in front of me with a friend of hers. Towards the tail end of waiting, there were a few people who joined in the front stating that they were friends with the person(s) who got their earlier. My co worker pointed this out. Of course, I had zero authority whatsoever, yet, the people who came and jumped in front of the line didn’t know that. They even asked me if I even work for the theatre. So, I pulled my shubert name tag from my pocket and pointed out that both my name tag and the doors of the theatre have the shubert logo on them. They eventually moved to the back. It shouldn’t have come to that. They are so self centered that, friends in the front or not, they don’t care that their actions are screwing over all those who came really early to wait only to increase the chances that those who did won’t be able to get a ticket.
How many people are in line now, and how quickly is the line moving?

I was around the 50th person and just left now at 10:36 AM. What really annoys me because they have very little availability and only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. That was not clear in the press. Additionally, even though I was only the 50th person in line. They had no availability on my first five choices. So if you’re later in line, I hope you have a lot of available. Options
By the time I got in I was around 80th in line (so 15+ line jumpers) and got my ticket at 10:50. Only days are Tues, Wed, Thurs and I think just in April and May, only very rear orchestra. Got center for W for mid-May.
And got the hat and button which are nice.

People will complain about anything, even $20 broadway tix with over a month of available dates. I got there at 10, almost left but waited until 12 when I got my tix and there were still a dozen or 2 getting the special after noon. Let's be thankful

Haha, tell me another one!Stranger Things is an international sensation that just wrapped their incredibly anticipated final season coming later this year. People will be there overnight but sure, waltz in at 9am. Lolz."
My friends got there at 9 - and received a hat. They were in the first 200.
They got thefirst date requested but said the line did not know the Tues through Thursday, April or May rules until box office. The marketing team should have told buyers while waiting in line if not in the press.

JFC. You want great seats on your first choice of dates, maybe pay regular price, cheapskate!
The press release for this did specify the tickets were both in limited supply and for “select performances,” so while the exact days/dates weren’t mentioned, it was still clear this was not a free for all.

That's awesome about your friends, kinda bummed I was wrong since I definitely thought it would be more popular in the states. I know people like swag and all that but buying tickets for decent seats was probably the main goal. I think people probably knew it wouldn't be weekends or premium seating locations but that should have been communicated so people didn't waste their time, so I 100% agree.
This reminds me of the event that The Heart of Rock & Roll had last year when all tickets during previews were $19.85 but they were alllll crappy seats in the balcony and people ended up being disappointed.
They mentioned the slow down at box office windows as buyers discovered the "rules" and fumbled to readjust. Then some dates, within the rules, were no longer available. The ad,marketing, photographers and press teams seemed energetically frantic up and down the line. Not the best managed "event".
We are excited to see the show.

Some people waited hours in the cold to find out that they had very limited availability and there was zero communication from them about the actual dates available to us. Glad I got tix. Criticizing this failure of communication doesn’t make me ungrateful. But thanks for the condescending lecture.

I’m grateful I got the tickets, but there was very little communication about just how limited the availability they were offering us was. I was not very far in line and had to give six dates before we could find one. And that was me giving only Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. They had very limited options for people to choose from, and it would’ve been helpful if they actually communicated that before we got to the window. This isn’t really that difficult of a thing to acknowledge.
Anyone happen to know which General Management firm is working on this?
]
Yeah, they’re the lead producers. That’s not what I asked, though.
Sonia also does GM work with her company.
Adkin and Morrison (on Sonia's in-house team) were likely the GM's in London.
NYC appears to be Bespoke
The GM firm of Stranger Things: The First Shadow is Bespoke Theatricals.
