Mandy was very good but if you paid a lot I'd take the refund and repurchase at the lower prices that will likely follow with Nicole being out.
If you bought expensive tickets, I would take the refund & then if you still want to see the show buy cheaper seats later.

False info.
JSquared2 knows very well by now that it was in fact true info. So what's with the"false info" lies and receiving 3 likes on top of it? Who are these people? Is this really how they go through life? When coming across facts they don't like, screaming the word "false!" and putting their heads back in the sand? Strange. Where would we be if facts can't be mentioned anymore?
Oh dear, you seem a bit unhinged and "untethered" from reality. One can only wonder about the reasons for your false claims --- but you are free to believe what you like. Just know thathelp isavailable -- and the first step is admitting that you have a problem."

On the whole "key" drama: she took the Glenn Close modulation down for the end of With One Look back in November. It's stuck since. It's only a half step down.
She's also become, shall we say, approximate of pitch at moments, most significantly during the Salome section.
I did not love nor hate her performance. I raised some concerns about longevity back about 20 or so pages ago. Those concerns turned out to be somewhat founded. That being said - neither the small key change nor the pitch issue have risen to a level that is imminently noticeable or concerning. It's a nothingburger at the moment. We'll see where we land near the end of the run.
Not every non-glowing comment is a vicious attack meant to diminish her and the show. It's also true not every ounce of criticism lobbed at her has been deserved. Can we please start talking about this like it was a normal show like any other show?

I would return your tickets and then buy better seats at a lower price now that they're announced as Mandy performances.

Yeah I’m still on the fence as I got a partial view ticket for $87. Going to think about it and see what reviews are like for operation mincemeat and the Jonathan Larson project and then decide
Get the PV on the right. In the orchestra you will miss 2 seconds of Nicole’s entrance if sitting on the left but it’s literally two seconds
Do not go front row Balcony left or right. There’s a huge pole you can’t see the center stage

It's not a drama. It's a fact. A fact that some people on the board just mentioned. And others desperately try to deny, hide and pulverize with all their might, no matter what it takes. Even when the fact is right in front of them. I would say there is something very worrying going on with the second group. And that the problem is bigger than a key.
And thus I agree, let's treat this like a normal show. Where we are allowed by the supremacy, the browbeaters and the false-like-givers to say something about costumes, scenes, casting, songs and yes, keys.

Sir, this is a Wendy's.
Bwaygurl2, clearly the ones defending the lie with their life on here strongly disagree with you. But go get 'em gurl!

Are you sure you can handle that? Touching on the subject of a key change already seems too much for you.

Based on this thread, there's only one person for whom this "subject" seems to be "too much." And it's not me.

You must have some serious difficulties reading then. There's many actually. And it's not me. If that bothers you, go tell 'em! Something is alarmingly wrong when you are more bothered by someone mentioning a detail than people defending the lie with their life.
Her voice cracked on the “I’ve come home at last” the other day. I hope it’s just a fluke and she’s not wearing her voice out.

Yeah? It's live theatre... you want flawless entertainment, listen to something that's been recorded in a studio and edited together from a dozen takes. 🙄
Still, Nicole has A LOT of performances to get through. I think it's perfectly acceptable if she isn't 100% perfect 100% of the time.......but this is a very hard job. I've said a couple times between Audra/Nicole I think the longevity of vocals will be a major decision making factor come Tony time. If either one is missing loads of performances or shot voice I think it'll just go to the other one.
Nicole has practically not missed any scheduled performances yet between both London and New York..........this is highly unusual on Broadway today with sickness going around etc. and not true of Audra, Idina, her co-star Tom etc. I think Nicole has already proven herself reliable - for all we know she might also be choosing (or have chosen in the past) to perform while sick in the style of the old school Broadway workhorses (e.g. both Patti and Bernadette) because it seems highly unlikely through the winter of both London and New York she hasn't even had a small cold at least once.
So hope Nicole will let the understudy go on occasionally if she needs to.

This also happened when I saw her mid-December. I didn’t mention anything for fear of people telling me me I was nuts LOL she gave a great performance; but it was a SUBSTANTIAL screech that she did not to even attempt to to correct.

Why so aggressive? GiantsInTheSky2 just mentions what happened and expresses concerns and the best hopes for her.

Don't EVER let small people hold you back in being honest. Your experiences are valid.
About the "I've come home at last", I have always found this a bad choice. I think she should just move on with the note, keep it short, as this is not the climax of the song yet. The real climax of the song is in this clip around 3:36. After the softly sung part. The "We'll....have.....early morning madness" on the beats. The "I've come home at last" is merely a build-up to that moment. This song is like a painting, gently coloring the notes with nuance. Hollering and stopping the song halfway through is a pity in my opinion and unnecessary. Perhaps the director was afraid that there would be a sincere moment in the show where the audience would not be taken out of the story. My opinion is that it's better for everyone to take it out. Especially for the song and moment itself. But also for Scherzinger and for the audience, who then can actually listen to the song.
I just disagree. There is something extremely magical about Nicole holding the entire audience in the palm of her hand with the high note and the lyrics ‘homeeee at lasssst’ conceptually reflect what is happening both as Norma the character and actress Nicole finally getting her moment to shine. Everything that comes after it is in service of this moment for me.
The truth is that there are very few Normas with the right vocal range and timbre to pull it off. It wont always work. It does with Nicole.
