I guess that tracks with what she said about her schedule regarding “Death Becomes Her”.
This closes in London January 6th so if they’re aiming for “new year” that’s a really tight turnaround for what will be an entirely new cast (minus Nicole).
This current season is overloaded with revivals if all of them actually take place.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Fairly easy transfer though. No significant set pieces or costumes. Probably depends on the walking around the theater Sunset moment as something like the Marquis prob wouldn’t work or be desired.

That would put me to mind that the Belasco might be a perfect venue. It’s not that much smaller than the Savoy, can create higher demand, and there is already precedent for it being used for live street scenes (the ones in Network).
Scherzinger’s draw aside, is Broadway looking for another revival of SB so soon after the 2017 return? There are many other shows looking for a revival and I remember the last production was criticized for how much of the grandiosity was stripped from the show.

Please oh please let this be true that it’s coming over!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
They’re thinking about it for next season, not this one, depending on reviews. ATG UK isn’t going to risk the Tony chances of their 25 million dollar baby Cabaret (They’re producing both)

ALW probably wants to rush this over, which doesn’t surprise me one but.

Normal producers would think that way, but....
1) ATG is owned by private equity so money is kind of a mythical thing for them
2) ATG would probably like to buy ALW Theatres (or ALW's entire operation) and wants to play nicely with him and will bend over backwards to be in business with him.
3) ATG owns Jamie Lloyd's company and probably thinks that him doing a Broadway musical will raise his pedigree.
The problem with the above is, of course, that ATG still uses outside investors for their productions, so when a show fails that still reflects badly upon the industry and on less wealthy investors' likelihood of returning to Broadway.

Will be a limited run with NS"
Hmmm I asked around with my industry friends and they all said it's not selling well at the Savoy and have heard no word on a transfer this season as ATG has Merrily, Cabaret and possibly The Wiz that will be up for Best revival. Not sure of the appeal for another revival of Sunset so soon and is this production that special to warrant one?
Here's the curtain call for those that haven't seen yet.
There is actually ZERO talk of this transferring right now. Just too early. Operation Mincemeat and Guys and Dolls are the only ones seriously being considered. Both have gotten great reviews and both have confirmations from the creatives that things seem to be moving forward.

The recent West End revival production was not very good. The storyline is confusing, and the only reason it was even selling tickets was because of Michael Ball. However, that wasn't even enough for it to complete its limited run.

This does nothing for me. I really don’t see NS being a major draw. Almost need like a Gaga. Stephanie j block apparently did well I don’t think she’s a big enough name. I wish back in the day they had been able to successfully get the major stars like merely or Michelle pfieffer or cher or others in on the show it could have been like the hello Dolly.
