I truly do hope this leads to other high profile projects for Sherie. What a star she is.

For those of you saying Sherie “understands the assignment,” what exactly is the assignment? You’re just projecting your own tastes onto a show that was not written to your desires. It’s not in Stephen Schwartz’ MO to write some satirical thing. He literally wrote a show about how the wicked witch is not actually wicked. He’s interested in seeing the truth in people, not mocking them.
Versailles is really a social showcase of our country, flaws and all. It shows the virtues and vices of these people lets people decide for themselves what they think, not pushing any agenda.

Remember how Patti went on his show and ripped Trump a new asshole during his first regime while sitting there completely in silence and then after the response he took it down and cut out her calling him out? Ever the clout chaser... this is totally not a surprise.

Schwartz didn't get the assignment either. That Jackie is a deluded narcissistic person. He could never tell that story because he'd never get her blessing, but that's the interesting story. One that Sherie is in tune with that while Kristin and the entire production company are not. They're more focused on making Jackie happy with their show than creating a show anybody actually wants to watch outside of her. This is their Versailles.
Can anyone who saw both Kristin Chenoweth and Sherie Rene Scott comment on their differences in performance? I saw both of Sherie's evening performances (a little better vocally the first night, looser the second/last time) and am not sure if I have it in me to see the show a third time. I've only seen Kristin perform "Caviar Dreams" and "This Is Not the Way" in filmed tv spots and in both she's trying so hard to do that bluegrass Broadway twang that I couldn't get a feel for how they might be in character.
The biggest takeaway I had from Sherie's performance of Jackie that probably isn't there on the page is that she's (as they say on Real Housewives) "a good mom." The relationship between Jackie and Victoria felt honest. A sort of clingy, goofy energy - Gilmore Girlsesque. Yes, Jackie is annoying and vapid, but also seems like a real fun time. I could see this maybe feeling more forced or awkward from Kristin.

There are comparisons of the two in the reviews thread:

This is 100% true. Someone in the orchestra whistled the couple bars of music that leads into "Why did I do it? What did it get me?" in the silence after that line."
Can confirm. It seemed as if they were trying to some how make the audience notice that number was there for a similar reason and depth. Stupid. They should've thrown that person out. Maybe a producer?
Having Jackie sing Schwartz' version of "this time next year" from Sunset Blvd. was already bvious enough.

I wouldn't worry much about this "Dom King" member of the producing or creative team that joined a few days ago trying to prop up the show.
Doubt it would be a producer mocking something they're going to lose their investment on. More likely a fun theatre queen. Not as funny as "Die Fosca Die," but I guess you work with what your given.

Kristin Chenoweth is out of the show tonight. The website doesn’t state that Sherie Rene Scott is on, so it might be Ryah Nixon.
I just got a text from someone in the company that it will actually be Sherie tonight!
It is also now on Instagram.

I'd love it if they let Sherie close out the show and have Ryah Nixon have a couple turns at it.
Anyone know why Chenoweth has been out repeatedly? It couldn't have been scheduled this early on. Is she ill? Or ducking out because of bad reviews?
I'm glad Sherie's getting praise and getting a moment, but it feels a bit uncofortably like she's getting some of this as a rebuke to Chenoweth (for we all know what). I think it sucks if that is the case.

I think the three times she's been on previously were scheduled well in advance. This seems to be the first unannounced performance by Sherrie.

She hasn't.

Just this week. She was out both shows on Wednesday and called out tonight.
As you can clearly read, Observation already stated those were well planned absences far in advance. She has not missed a show that she was scheduled to perform in until tonight.

what
I saw the matinee with SRS on Wednesday, and enjoyed her performance in an empty show. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen - several parts of it had some entertainment value - but it's the worst thing I saw in 2025.
Anyhow, I apologize if this has already been discussed, but: what happened to the rest of the protagonist's kids? At the end she's fretting that she'll be alone in a huge house, but shouldn't there still be several minor children for her to raise?
