Tammy Faye was embarrassing. I don’t think this, even at its worst, could be on that level.

Fingers crossed it’s not Tammy Faye level bad. I just worry about any newly written show that doesn’t have great buzz, going into the St. James!  It’s such a huge house to fill!

Last year I cancelled my Tammy Faye ticket & saw MHE instead - which I'd been iffy on seeing.  It won the Tony.

I'm not superstitious, but I'm seeing QoV 6 weeks after it starts previews.  If reports are bad I'll see something else.  I don't know what yet.  But if I fo cancel & see something else, chances are that show will win the Tony.

Broadwsy producers:  I'm like a rabbit's foot.  Come rub up against me.

(For people who lack comprehension, this is meant as just a dumb joke.)

Still looks like it's selling terribly (especially with all the best seats blocked from sale by producers). SO, I hope we see some discounts soon. I don't think the show has a chance at this point.

I found that NYT cover photo of Kristin changing into Jackie kind of eerie. I think the article is well-written even if it gives away a major spoiler and I still have no desire to see this. I love Kristin but this just does not sound remotely interesting. Prove me wrong please. Will watching the documentary change my mind or make it worse?

I remember watching the documentary in high school and it's good. You are unlikely to leave with any thoughts either way on the idea of musicalizing it. It's not one of those ideas that you hear and have an immediate "this will work" or "this won't work" feeling. I only began to worry "this won't work" when I realized how involved Jackie and Co are. With that knowledge and then watching the documentary you'll see why. That is a woman you could write a compelling musical about but that is not a woman who would allow you to do so without sugar sprinkled on top. Lots of sugar.
