Yeah cause I didn’t want the ticket to go to waste. Thankfully, I got a buyer. The theatr app is not as good anymore, with all those fees they tag on, people don’t buy from there as much.

Just a small note, she’s doing both shows on December 3rd.

You mean besides all of the reports from when she was out of town? lol
Well she’s already gotten raves. Why would someone choose Sherie over Kristin just because you kinda think she’s better in the role. Plus, it’s theater. It’s not going to be the real woman on stage, especially for a musical that has been taylor made for Kristin.

Stay in school, kids.

Some people are going to want to see Sherie. Get over it.
Oh the spelling police is here. *tailor
The set has been the thing most interesting part of this show for me; but the Sherie announcement changed all of that.
Sherie is very popular with millennial Broadway fans, but obviously nowhere near Chenowith in terms of name recognition. I hope and think Sherie’s shows will sell very well!

Bumping so anyone can discuss whatever's allowed.
What else is there to say? Give the lady a break.
Also, the thread about Nicole liking that video is INSANE. If you actually watch the video, all the guy says is basically “Charlie Kirk was really nice to me and helped me in my career.”
Charlie Kirk was a huge a**hole, but some of you need to stop looking for witches to burn.
Anyone looking forward to seeing this?
I am!! I love Kristin Chenoweth. The first time since Wicked she’s in a new musical again written by Stephen Schwartz for her. It seems like a big ol’ fashioned Broadway musical! Plus Michael Arden. Very excited!!!

Me too !
I’ve never understood the pull of Chenoweth, so I think recent events have given me more reason to see Scott. Anyone know if she’s also wearing black right now?

I love the documentary and I’d like to see Chenoweth live, but this show is still a question mark. Stephen Schwartz is usually a miss for me. His scores only work with a strong book. From what I’ve heard, the interpretation of the source material seems questionable and the structure seems boring. The buzz from Boston was not great. I’ll be waiting on reviews to see if it’s been improved. This might be a TKTS purchase for me on my scheduled trip. We all know the St. James will have plenty of seats available.
TBH, I’m not excited about any Broadway production opening this fall. HoV is high on my list of shows to see, and it’s still just a “maybe at half price.”
The show was in trouble before the social media hiccup. Ticket purchasing trends have shifted significantly since the pandemic, but aside from Wicked, has she ever been in an actual hit?
For what it's worth, I thought the score was pretty strong in Boston. I admit, part of my enjoyment is it's simply nice to hear a Broadway score that knows what it's doing--lyrics that actually advance the characterization and action, etc. But I'm also someone who absolutely loved Schwartz' Schikaneder in Vienna, so maybe I'm not the best at judging Schwartz scores. Regardless, I still think it's in better shape than most of the upcoming musicals (I think the main issue remains if people, particularly right now, are open to the subject matter. On the other hand, I have some friends in NY who regularly see new shows who still thought this was simply some modern take on Marie Antoinette...)

With two typos, nonetheless. It absolutely happens during the writing process, but are you telling me (and showing us) that no one vets these pieces prior to them being published on the landing page of your website? That’s a terrible look for BWW.

Kristin Chenoweth Responds to Backlash Over Charlie Kirk Comments"
Watched this. She really tried to white tears her way out of accountability without truly clarifying what parts of Charlie Kirk she agreed with. Very disappointed in her, but alas I wasn't really planning on paying to see her in this anyway.
For good or bad, I can't imagine anyone expected we'd get a more clear/concrete response from Chenoweth.
What do you want from her? I’m asking genuinely. Do you want her to make a video throwing her bible in the garbage and say God isn’t real? Because it ain’t happening.
This is the prime example of two things being true. We know Cheno is a practicing Christian (make of that whatever you will) and we also know she is a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ community. We also know she is not a supporter of Donald Trump, yet if you read online here you’d think she was out burning rainbow flags in the street while passing MAGA hats out to people.
This whole thing with her just makes me think of the quote “Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.” She’s not perfect (and I GUARANTEE you that you aren’t, either) but she’s done a FUUUUUCKTON of good for our community so a little grace shown to her when she says what she did to DiLella, honestly doesn’t seem like too much to ask.

Not missing much. I’ll go again JUST for Sherri, but one performance of Kristen in this was enough.
I would like to hear her address which parts of Kirk's beliefs she agreed with, for one. I don't expect that, though. I also wasn't surprised by the comment, find the response a bit ridiculous, and none of it changes my plans to see the show... I always planned to see it with Sherie Rene Scott! Now there is somebody I am thrilled to see return in a new musical.
