They are performing in front of the Paramount Hotel across from The Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Haven't seen it but were those the original Aint Too Proud costumes? Either way, they did a fantastic job!

Good stuff, except for an extremely pitchy Jagged. Perhaps Bryan Perri should've brushed his cast up vocally.
Nice to see live theatre is still around, waiting for this devastating pandemic to subside. It will certainly feel great when it finally returns.

I caught the two show performances on CBS All Access but it seems like the NBC streaming version on Verizon's page on youtube is not showing the Broadway shows or musical performances which was my whole reason for watching the parade. I guess it's too late to ask if there's another way to stream the NBC performances so I'm glad they have clips here.

Again...excited for any sort of live theatre.
But Matthew Morrison as the Grinch...yow-zuh.

And they had the best costume masks.

For real it’s the same people over and over again who are never happy or satisfied with anything and always feel the need to complain smh

I was very happy to see Broadway perform during the parade. didn't tune into CBS, but was the Come From Away number also the one that was filmed a few years ago or was it the new cast?

I think I am completely over this crap. (I say this as somebody who didn't like Jagged Little Pill in Cambridge after the first 20 minutes. My one note: "More shirtless dad," still holds.) I found all the aspects of the telecast lovely for every contingent that showed up on the parade show and did something, executing logistically complicated tasks for our entertainment and respite.
I was also wide-eyed when they showcased contingents from other parades that didn't happen this year because of the pandemic ("Because when somebody has no place to go, you invite them in on Thanksgiving"
including The Mermaid Parade (with Queen Mermaid, Lynn Nottage!) and the Puerto Rican Day Parade and a member of the Big Apple Corp LGBT Marching Band with images o the Stonewall 50 Parade.
In my childhood, in my life, I could never imagine this development, especially after the year we're having and the four years we just had. I mean, to see members of the Wampanoag tribe make a LAND STATEMENT outside of Macy's, this is all symbolic of reflection and progress and growth and evolution, against all odds.
Then to swing by this thread and read the usual merde, well, here's Broadwayworld with its camera... alone.

I just cried the entire time, how embarrassing. I guess seeing no crowd and knowing Broadway is closed for a long time made me pretty sad. Joshua Henry is such a star, such a superior Burr. The Jagged number was bizarre but it was still great seeing everyone!

It just feels refreshing to see and hear new Broadway performances. I didn't mind JLP's performance, I thought they were fine right up until the very end, but I was just happy to see them together and glad they were singing live.
