This may already be a post, but i wanted to here some opinions.

A few of my favorites:
17. Galinda (Wicked): Not Glinda, mind you; she straightened out. I'm talkin' Galinda here.
9. Maximilian (Candide): Yes, it is a pimple. Get over it.
3. Winston (In My Life): I have this image of Max Bialystock deciding to do a revival of Funny Boy, showing up at In My Life, taking one look at Winston, then jumping up and yelling, "That's our Hamlet!"
I thought that column was funny as hell. I agreed with almost all of his choices. Especially Galinda!
It was amusing - but I disagree on many of them - particularly Javert.
#2 was my favorite.
I thought it was a stupid article - I found the author the most annoying.

I agree with most of them, except Javert. Of course, I'm surprised only one Grease character made it, they all annoy me.
Tell us how you really feel, Marc...don't hold back now!
Whats interesting to me is that I never considered Yente's "annoyingness" to be a negative quality. I actually love the role of Yente (minus the current revival version) very much!
It was tongue in cheek.
Most of them were the "most annoying" to the other characters in the show, like Javert. The audience may love him, but I'm sure ValJean has got to be thinking, "Please, give it a rest."
I really enjoy most of his columns.

Personally, I believe Javert is the most developed character in Les Miz. Now I love Les Miz, but that's not saying much (I tried to come up with a humorous similie, but failed). In any case, where's Eponine? Unless it's Lea Salonga is singing "On My Own," she's the most annoying character ever!
Hope Cladwell - Urinetown. Well, I thought she was.
I agree with #2. That little girl bugs the crap out of me.
You want annoying? I say Guido Contini.
He's rich, famous, respected in his field, has a beautiful and intelligent wife, a hot mistress... and he's stressing out about turning 40??? Just make the freakin' movie.

I'm surprised nobody said Amy from Little Women.
Yeah I definitely wouldn't say Javert at all and bump #2 up to #1.
I'm glad Javert is on the list, and I agree with his choice. I wanted to clap when he jumped off the bridge. Enough already.
And without him, you have no major plot conflict (aside from the pre-revolutionary battle, which is really a backdrop to the various plots).
... and that's pretty much what I think of Les Mis as a musical.
Freddy Eynsford-Hill from "My Fair Lady"
It's called stalking!!!
WindyCityActor --- God bless you, yes!
I have a few others...
John Adams in 1776 - It's a miracle we became a country.
Ali Hakim in Oklahoma - I love "city folk" pretending to be ethnics. Ain't it cute? I'm happy most productions cut his song too.
Luther Billis in South Pacific - you're NOT FUNNY.
Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady --- Get your own damn slippers.
"I'm surprised nobody said Amy from Little Women"
ugh, agreed.

I agree with #18. I hate that show. It SUCKS.
I like Galinda...or Glinda?
Even though I love the show...who could be more annoying than Carrie and Mr. Snow in Carousel?
...or Alice Beane in Titanic (God love ya Victoria Clark!)

Nah, Henry Higgins is just a bastard. :)
