Adam Duritz is really good friends with Stew, and he's also very interested in theater, so I wasn't at all surprised that he introduced PS (I suspected he would).
What WAS that??? It reminded me a lot of the Spring Awakening performance from last year. I'm not real familiar with Passing Strange, but that didn't really appeal to me.
"You drank a charm to kill John Proctor's wife! You drank a charm to kill Goody Proctor!" - Betty Parris to Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's The Crucible
Lion King opening - yawn - why the heck did they allow them to perform? Did Disney pay for the broadcast?
Cry Baby - not horrible but hardly memorable - even the choreography was a bit lame
Passing Strange - what??? That was terrible (IMHO). Keys - take my keys - Who cares! And then scream the rest... That's hardly a musical in my opinion (or at least a bad representation of one).
