The current cast of RENT should not have been allowed to sing. They were awful (except for Will Chase and Eden).
The originals made me cry, though.
Was that Bob Saget I saw in the audience?

That was EXTREMELY beautiful, but I'm not gonna lie I was hoping for something more...
But it was still very nice.

I loved Patti's hand clap, and the performance was pretty good, surprisingly.
Congrats to Paulo Szot!

Posted: 6/15/08 at 10:48pmI've been having some trouble getting the board to load but I just wanted to say that the performance of Xanadu was the best "out of context" performance I've seen them do. It absolutely trumped the Thanksgiving Parade and Regis & Kelly. While many of us, myself included, thought "Don't Walk Away" seemed an odd choice for the Tonys but after seeing them perform I think the chose wisely.
