Not that they need it, but SIX sold tickets with that.

I'm so happy she won and she's a fantastic actress, but the role of Caroline getting shutout twice now is really head scratching, but I guess it's not for everyone.
I'm kind of here for all the upsets. Now I really don't know what will win Best Musical. Seems pretty open.

Abby and Anna Uzelle had left the cast. Abby is on medical leave but I doubt she would come back for just one performance."
Abby has already returned to the show and was supposed to perform. She tested positive for covid today (according to her insta).

I hope not, but it is looking like that will be the case.

Lol. It's been open for 7 months and it's doing amazing in sales. Zero protests and everyone loves it including the Broadway community.
"
I think EllieRose2 meant a boycott in their head."
Dylan Smith said that ridiculous comment. Learn how to read :)

I honestly think Joaquina Kalukango’s win was some kind of consolation prize for paradise square/Garth. The tony voters also know they have another chance to award Clarke next year for Salesman. Just politics.
The frost win makes no sense to me, and I plan on sneaking into The Neil Simon to bring that Tony statue over to Lyceum where it belongs.

I haven’t seen the show so I have no opinion on it, but it’s definitely not loved by everyone.

Tonight might help PARADISE SQUARE have a BANDSTAND-style trajectory: not recoupment, but run through the end of the summer and maybe get a non-eq tour.
Beyond thrilled for A STRANGE LOOP. When Frost won, it seemed like it was toast.

Marlothom said: "I was rooting for McClure and Clarke. But congrats to the winners. I know it doesn't work that way, but I think Caroline/Clarke not performing hurt its chances?."
No it didn't. IF anything hurt it, it's because it's already closed.
Not one of the best broadcasts, not one of the worst. At least none of the performances were embarrassing.

Ariana did a fine job hosting, but that's because it suits her personality. She acts like she's hosting all the time, which is why I think she comes across as fake and off-putting. She's very talented and very driven in her career, but, to me, she doesn't seem genuine or relatable, at all.

Then don't see it, your problem it solved. It's always weird to me that people complain about a show they have never or will never see. Do actual research (not just Lifetime!) and don't crap on people's joy of the show.
Congrats to MJ, Company, A Strange Loop, and Paradise Square, what a night!

Overall Thoughts...
I am SO HAPPY Strange Loop won Best Musical, but it should have won more! I was expecting more from the Tonys this year, but I was SO WRONG! I haven't been this disappointed since the Band's Visit upset of 2018. Congrats to all the winners and I hope (in a way) more people will come to NYC! Let's hope next season will be better!

I'm of the thinking that the In Memoriam segment should be done without interruptions. The focus should be on the departed and not on the person singing.
