The best performance of the night was not even eligible for a Tony! Well done Lea Michele!

· Its hard to justify anyone other than Corey Hawkins winning this award in terms of sheer jaw dropping performance this season but these are really five well deserving nominees. Im kinda shocked that Mckinley Henderson didn’t win here—the shot of his face just now gave me a lump in my throat. But its hard to deny that Sean Hayes is as deserving as the rest of them for what hes done here. Then again, he loses me when he pretends Doug Wright wrote a brilliant work here. He did not.
· I cant believe they gave this show a full 3 minutes here after cutting off so many people and compressing all the other shows into 3 minutes. Isnt this show sold out anyway through Labor Day? And Im sorry I cannot STAND that they still have her stopping for the gratuitous applause mid show. That said…. girl can get it. Wow.

She really is great in the part, but that arrangement kills me. The audience waits for that song. Why rush through it on speed?!
And that's how you end the Tonys. Lea killed it as usual, what an absolutely brilliant performance! Stay mad haters!

The tempo was a tad faster than when I saw it in the theatre….

Glad she got to do the same song for a SECOND time on the TONYS
just what we needed
Wow, Kimberly Akimbo for Best musical!
I don't like that they made no mention of the wins during Act One, specifically Best Score and Best Choreography.
I think she nailed it but it also felt a little “regional theater?” But I’d blame the director. Still cannot see Beanie doing that.

Seemed like it got sped up and Michele had to catch up at the end

Aside from best sound design I have no qualms with any winner. Great Tony Awards. Yes KA!

I think this show moved much smoother than past shows. It also came in on time!

This was my favorite awards show in a looooong time and I didn’t know anything about these shows.
David Stone is finally a tony award winner, two times over!
Loved the lack of banter, to be honest! Going from performance to category was so clean and didn't make me wish the show was over already.

It's terrible legends like Angela and Joel get shafted tonight when the show is otherwise unaffected by the strike. What a sad turn of events. That quickie dance was not a fitting tribute at all, and AL deserved more after all her years of brilliant stage work than 2.5 seconds on a screen. But then, that great actress from Sunday in the Park and Into The Woods didn't seem to get applauded even so... (I'm bad with names but I still know her)
Shucked is...not winning me over, let's just say that, LOL. That song that annoying and flat.
& Juliet did not come off well with that loud flashy performance.
Congrats to Parade, which is excellent. Great performance.
Sweeney's choreo was still baffling up close.
AB is doing a great job hosting.
Congrats to Kimberly and VC - hope it helps them out at the box office.
Overall I loved it, but I agree that there should’ve been mention of the winners from earlier. How do you ask two 90-something year olds to get out on stage and then not let them say or do anything? At least show what they said earlier.
Also disappointed in KA’s win. Knew it was coming, but it’s such a lackluster best musical. I know others disagree. I also wish Fat Ham got more love. Happy for Brandon Uranowitz and he deserved it, but I wish best play went to FH.
Other than those, thought it was smooth, fun and a celebration of what we love most!

They added some of the introductory scene so Ramin could have some stage time - 3 kisses! Wish he could have sung something. Alas, it was the best part of the show for me.
Kudos to Victoria Clark - so happy for her win.
Weirdest moment of the show for me was that long kiss at the end of NYNY. Felt out of place and little jarring.
This flew by. It was clean and tight and lacking cringe.

I really wish they gave Justin Cooley the 3 seconds of mic time he tried to grab

Lea finally had her Funny Girl Tony moment. Sonia Friedman is saying, why didn't we initially cast her as Fannie as she would have Won the TONY last year!
