I thought "Anagram" played way better than I thought it would. It told the premise of the show, it allowed us to see the incredible chemistry Victoria Clark and Justin Cooley have (not to mention their undeniable charm). It's a better-written song than "This Time," which I assumed is what they were going to do.
I also like that the performances have been given time to breathe a little and some of them have included dialogue leading into the number.
· A Beautiful Noise made me cringe but hey, they gotta sell those tickets, more power to em. And if Neil Diamond isn’t in the theater live, I’m guessing its because he can’t be, unfortunately.
· If you think back to February, did anyone think Parade would win this? It really was a special production at the perfect moment. Whoever played off Jason Robert Brown gets shot for a montage about a show that closed, right? That’s how that works?
· Give Joaquina a chance to rehabilitate her last Tony performance and she delivers.
· Aaron Rodgers is at this show. I need to see his reaction shots to everything.
· J Harrison Ghee was the heart of this show and really brought something special to this that I think would be hard for any other performer to replicate. Congrats congrats.
· I still think Laura Linney’s absence from this category is almost comical. Nice job by Comer pretending to be overwhelmed getting an award she knew she’d get. I really need to see this.

As Jordan Catalano noted earlier, she likely would have if there was no writer's strike.
