i love Little Shop of Horrors (probably in my top 3 musicals) and that clip that the GreenBean gave was AMAZING! those girls can sing the sh*t out of that score....
ok... maybe someone can find some clips out there... but i have yet to see a version of LSOH where three white girls can sing this score.. every version i've seen it's always lacking soul and that edge that is needed for the doo woppiness of it... haha.. is that even a word? anyways... this is a show where the urchins need to sing the songs with full force... but man... those white girls in that other clip... yeeesh!
I just came across this thread and have been enjoying the Blacklick Valley High School Les Miz videos. (I can't even count the number of terrible HS Les Miz productions that have been posted on YouTube). My personal favorite from Blacklick is this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik-u78SGWGw&feature=channel_page
Listen to the first 30 seconds. It's the small part where the French Army tells the rebels to surrender. I'm loving the actor's choice to be completely nonchalant and mellow, and then zealously shout "die!" at the end. It's so bad.
^ That's been one of my favorites for a while now. (:
I showed my mother their "One Day More" and she couldn't believe how bad it was. She found their "Lovely 'People'" hysterical, though. It's really one of the most pointless lyrical changes I've ever heard.
Oh my goodness! The Skimbleshanks video is too much.
It may sound horrible but this kid makes me feel okay about myself. I'm not that crazy after all.

"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
Okay you gotta listen to Christine here! Her voice is so bad that the music had to be transposed just to get her in tune. As for the other singers....Well the Phantoms is amazing.
I hope that cheetah performance was just for fun and wasn't supposed to be serious.

"The Producers" clips are terrific and certainly don't belong on his thread. These kids were great. Their "Springtime For Hitler" was spot on. The brass was off on this number I think on purpose to emphasis the lousiness of Max's show.
I kind of feel bad for laughing, but this thread has made my day! I wish I could find the video, but the musical the school did was "Beauty and the Beast", and the Lumiere had the worst french accent known to man. French accents are not easy, and the kid made a good attempt, but it was funny. Gosh I wish I could find the video.

Just to clarify, I posted The Producers clips because the orchestra wasn't up to par, especially in "I Wanna Be A Producer". However, I do give them a lot of credit because it's a big score to take on and even when I was working on a professional production, our trumpet player was almost always off at some point. So no one's perfect. It's certianly not the worst production, it has its flaws any show would.
That being said, the school has also done A Streetcar Named Desire (which is quite fantastic, based off the few clips available on Youtube).
ETA: WTF is a guy doing in that "Don't Tell Mama" ensemble? I realise it's a camp performance (both literally and figuratively speaking) but the last time I checked that song was always sung solely by a group of females.

I didn't think women started casually wearing pants until the '40s? Also...What's going on with Millie's Daisy Duke skirt? The woman playing Mrs. Meers isn't bad, but I don't like that jazz hand thing she does....her voice is good but the bit looks REALLY forced.
