Saw two shows Thursday
Illinoise Center mezz row F. Couldn’t have gotten better seats
Water for Elephants. Orchestra right. Row M. All seats to the right of us which we’re selling for $189. Were empty so we spread out.
Grateful for TDF

There's not really a normal time, but I think business hours are usually more common (like I don't see as many things getting added on weekends or later in the evenings)

So bad I created an account here to reply here after years of only lurking. ~8 rows back but all the way on the side, very partial view as a lot of action happens upstage and couldn't be seen. Worst TDF seats I've ever gotten. Show itself was also one of the worst I've ever seen, so not as big a loss as it might otherwise have been.
In contrast, Hadestown earlier this week was great (front side orch).

My seats for Tommy were fine, mezz right row E, could see everything well (though it did feel like some things were blocked for people sitting in the center as sometimes people standing on either side of the center divide would block other people but it didn't really hinder anything for me.

Recent seat report:
Illinoise - Sat evening - Orchestra Front Right, Row H, Seat 16. Great seat, only missed seeing the female singers but nothing else blocked.
The Wiz - Sun evening - Orchestra Rear Right, Row X, Seat 10. Seat is fine, show is a disappointment.

Water for Elephants, front mezz, row E, great seat.
Patriots, front mezz, row A center - no bar! As good as it gets.
Illinoise, Saturday Matinee, Orchestra row M, seats 114, 112. Just superb. (And my response to this rapturously beautiful show is in its reviews thread.)
I've had a great 2024 with our beloved TDF. Two times Days of Wine and Roses, second row center orchestra both.
Merrily without Radcliffe, rear orchestra, perfect sightlines.

My seats for Illinoise yesterday, 05/09, were Right Front Mezz, row F, seats 14/16. A lot takes place right on the edge of center stage so we had to lean over to see occasionally. Otherwise, a great view.
