Rockabye Hamlet with the original cast including Meatloaf
For Broadway: Soul Doctor (I know, I know. But I liked the music)
Several shows that never made it to Broadway that had great scores, which I wish had been recorded professionally:
-Tales of the City
-Fly (a Peter Pan adaptation)
-All About Us (Kander Ebb's adaptation of The Skin of Our Teeth)
-The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown (a FULL cast album)
-Brooklynite

None at all.
A cast album of a sort of La Strada was released a few years ago.
Lolita, My Love. I am thankful for the live recording but I would love a studio recording of the show.
Platinum
Musical: the Alan Cumming Threepenny Opera
Song Cycle: What's it All About?
Both of those have bootlegs I've spun perpetually since I got them, but no "real" recording. I almost said "Smile," but the Broadway score is so different I'm not sure how well I'd like it, and I find it hard to think of the musical at all without the warm synthesizer tones of the licensing recording of the revised score.
I think there was a Platinum recording and I might even have it.

Not sure if it counts but would love a cast album of the original San Francisco production of Godspell.
I just checked and found I have a CD of Sunset with Tammy Grimes .I was under the impression this was a reworking of Platinum with the same songs. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
The Broadway cast of Sister Act.
The Original Broadway Cast recording of Dreamgirls - because what they issues wasn't.
A Bistro Car On The CNR
Via Galactica
Was Bare The Musical ever recorded? I thought it was, but it only seems Bare The Pop Opera was... Do any of you happen to know?

Who was in the San Francisco cast? For me, it's Toronto cast or no deal- the founders of SCTV and SNL together with Paul Shaffer.

Add me to the "Brooklynite" list.
The release of Lestat
I know that it's still possible but I absolutely loved the score from Little Dancer and would love a recording.
I just checked Wikipedia and Sunset is a revised version of Platinum with most if not almost all the same songs of the latter.

This is easy: Body Beautiful, Bock and Harnick; and Shinbone Alley....Both had good scores and it is very sad that cast albums were never recorded.
Ethel Merman- Hello Dolly! would be a treat.
