I’m honestly the most concerned with Erivo.  I actually think Grande is going to be great.

Erivo can certainly sing.  I’ve never understood the accolades she’s received for her acting, though.

I'm surprised Michelle has been cast. Should add a diversity boost to the cast. Interesting indeed to see an Asian Morrible.

I’m terrified they’re saving him for last and it’s James Corden. Pleeeeease no. 

Couldn’t be more thrilled with these casting choices so far, especially Yeoh as Morrible who will be absolutely brilliant.

Did Into The Woods do badly when he was The Baker? I'm in no way advocating for him to be in this movie (No thank you!!!!) but just curious.

Into the Woods grossed 213 million world wide with a 50 million budget. Nothing to sneeze at.

Anyone else find it weird Goldblum has only been announced by a few media outlets and Jon Chu has not tweeted about it like the rest of the cast? Maybe some media outlets accidentally let out the info a day early.

Goldblum had been all but confirmed since October 28, when it was reported by Variety that he was in final talks to play the Wizard, which probably explains the lack of current coverage.

Totally agree with you and find Cynthia Erivo to be so overrated  -  great singer but that's it!  Not a fan. Great casting overall. Would have rather had Gaga as Elphaba!
