I predicted her as Morrible the moment Jon Chu joined the project. 

Is it wrong that I'm more excited about all the casting minus the lead two?

I’m honestly the most concerned with Erivo.  I actually think Grande is going to be great.

Erivo can certainly sing.  I’ve never understood the accolades she’s received for her acting, though.

I'm surprised Michelle has been cast. Should add a diversity boost to the cast. Interesting indeed to see an Asian Morrible.

I predict Jimmy Smits as Dr Dillamond. Thrilled with Goldblum and Yeoh's casting!

Did Into The Woods do badly when he was The Baker? I'm in no way advocating for him to be in this movie (No thank you!!!!) but just curious.

Into the Woods grossed 213 million world wide with a 50 million budget. Nothing to sneeze at."

Thank you! Just because this originally started with "box office killer"...um...no? This proves that. 

Goldblum had been all but confirmed since October 28, when it was reported by Variety that he was in final talks to play the Wizard, which probably explains the lack of current coverage.

Totally agree with you and find Cynthia Erivo to be so overrated  -  great singer but that's it!  Not a fan. Great casting overall. Would have rather had Gaga as Elphaba!
