So they should be announcing a new Dawn and a new Ogie soon? Seeing the show in a couple weeks so curious as to who it will be

It appears her last performance was actually this evening, per Molly Hager’s Instagram story."
No her last performance was not this evening or this week. Jessie and Molly J have been sharing the role for a while.
Not DEH, but Raymond J. Lee would be a great Ogie as well!
And I am so sorry about Lenne’s miscarriage. Poor woman

He was absolutely horrible the two times I've seen him cover the role. First time he was mumbling thru all Never Ever Getting Rid, and then fell off the chair. Second time was equally as bad."
Out of curiosity, when did you see him? I saw him in mid January.

Well, they had a cake for her last night.
Nope, Lenne confirmed on her IG story that it was her last night. I wish her the best recovery.
MollyJeanneMusic and getupngo: So sorry you missed Christopher as Ogie. I must have lucked out and saw him when he returned. In my opinion, he should have won the Tony for Best Featured Actor. I couldn't stop laughing.
WestEndGal: I actually just found an audio of Jack from late last month and he sounds so much better than he did in early previews. Still the weakest singer in the cast for sure, but I think it's fitting to the character and his acting makes up for it.

Looks like according to JJ's twitter that he will be out of the show for family/personal reasons until "late next week". Hope everything is ok.

I'm glad you got to see him! I was looking forward to seeing him, but I've been very lucky to have seen some wonderful understudies throughout the years, so I held out hope - and I really enjoyed Tyrone's performance.

Congrats to him! I don’t know much about him but he’s only 24 which seems a little young for the role, but I don’t think that matters too much.
Caitlin Houlahan is coming back as Dawn which is awesome. I think she’s my fave Dawn, although I love Laura Baldwin in the London cast also

You know, I've seen the show more times than I care to admit, and it just took me until recently to realize...The part where Dawn mentions Ogies age, as well as the part where Old Joe talks about Annette, reflected the ages of the actors!! I'm so embarrassed that it took me so long to make those connections.

Who? Noah?"
Ohhhh yes. Bryan Singer accusations aside, he had some horrendous things to say about Colton Hayes coming out. Calling it "p---y b---s---." I'm all for being proud of your identity, but NO ONE has a right to put down someone else's journey in coming out. Ever. He later applogized, but he did some major damage to his career.

While the things Noah said were 100% correct, and was an opinion shared by many in the industry at that time, it was disrespectful to put someone on blast in the media like that.
Oh, well. He was/is young, apologized, and life goes on. There are bigger issues to focus on.

What he has previously said has no connection to how well he will do in a role. If you feel so strongly about what he said, and truly believe the best way to react is to not see the show-you don't have to. No one is forcing you. But don't be cruel on social media. Just because I see the show it doesn't mean I'm okay with what he said--it means I love the SHOW. I support the SHOW. I can be aware of what he said without disrespecting the show. I will see the show. It doesn't mean I support what he said and especially if he apologized, there wasn't any reason to bring this up. Let him be!
Not saying everyone should avoid this show because of him, but I will be. I don't understand anyone ever criticizing someone else for coming out, especially on a national platform. I don't care how young he was Im the same age as him and would know to never say something like that. Happily won't be seeing him! Just wish he wasn't on broadway, horrible representation of the gay community.

Crap, I totally forgot that happened, that sucks

Noah Galvin said some stupid **** in an interview when he was 22. He then apologized profusely, and has said/done nothing since to warrant any vitriol. That people are still mad at him about it says more about them than him- though I see we have at least graduated past the stage where the 64 people who actually care about this think their anger will impact ticket sales, so I guess thats progress.

I was a huge fan of The Real O'Neals, but not to much of Noah's credit...it was all Martha Plimpton. He never really did much for me on the show. I remember being angry with him after his comments, but not enough to stop watching the show. I feel like enough time has passed. He was young and he hasn't said anything similar recently - people do learn. Not all people, but some people. I'm hoping it was an isolated incident of growing pains of having the spotlight and not really thinking about what he was saying.
I have tickets for next Thursday and I'm open to giving him a chance. While the casting is baffling to me, especially since the last person I saw in this role was Christopher Fitzgerald, I will be happy to report back to everyone afterwards. Though the bar is very high. This feels like a potential miscast (and for what gain?), while I'm going for Shoshana and Jeremy, the role of Ogie made such an impact on me from the first time I saw the show because Christopher had me in tears.
I didn't even know he was 22 when he said that, I thought he was younger. Honestly just makes it even worse in my opinion. I know it says so much about me being upset about another gay man calling another mans coming out "some ****ing **** bull****" <<edited by BWW staff>>? He had a national platform to say that, inexcusable and I don't care that he's apologized, it has likely traumatized Colton in some way. I can't even imagine how terrible id feel about myself is someone said that to me after I came out, especially if it was national news. He only apologized once he got criticized. Sorry, I think it says a lot about a person to go through with what he said. Shouldn't be crucified, but I don't know how someone has a career after **** like that. Just not nice. He will likely not have an affect on ticket sales either way and I don't care what happens in that department, I was stating that I don't support this casting and thats entirely fair for me to do.

First of all, are one of you the person who was ousted from the boards by the moderators under a different username for making continual defamatory and incendiary comments? I ask because this is, note for note, the same song she was singing except she also claimed to be besties with Colton Haynes. It’s also ironic that the person criticizing a person of defamatory behavior was ousted from the boards for the same behavior.
Second, bravo to Noah for speaking out against Singer years before others spoke out even though his behavior was well known within the industry. That was pretty heroic of him
Third, in relation to Colton I’m sure at the moment, Noah believed what he said; after all, it does seem like the de rigueur thing for young actors to come out as part of the LGBTQ (usually as bi-) family without really seeking to identify with us and our struggle, but still, Noah should have kept his mouth shut; it’s apparent now that wasn’t the case with Colton. It was a dumb thing to say but because of being famous, he didn’t just say it to his friends or on twitter and it was forgotten the next day. Colton by the way has made mistakes too Like dressing up in blackface more than once. Stupid, stupid, stupid. He finally seems to have gotten the message and stopped. I follow him on IG and wish him well. He seems like a decent guy. I’m sure if I was in the public eye, people would judge me harshly for some of the things I’ve done too But we’re all human They both seem like decent young men who made some mistakes as we all do. Neither seems “despicable.” If we only allowed people that didn’t make any mistakes on Broadway, all the theaters would be dark.
I wish them both well on their careers.
