I wish it could have been Mark Evans but otherwise, this is a great cast for the filmed version.
Just got tickets in December and I was surprised to learn that there aren’t many seats left, especially with Sara being gone by then. Do we have any guess as to who will be replacing her? Personally I’m hoping for Shoshana Bean again!

Sorry, but where did you get that idea? Every day in December has tons of availability, with far more seats unsold than sold.

Lunaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa --- as the above poster said, after Sara B leaves the show, you now have your pick of pretty much any seat at any performance in November, December and January. Whether or not the show continues to run after she leaves is an entirely different matter.

She talked about how excited she was to bring the show back, first rehearsals, Nick Cordero, Girls5eva, and the pies in the show and that’s about it.
No mention of the taping or other new info.
Was just looking through some photos of the set the cast had posted of being in the Barrymore, it looks like there isn’t automation in the stage deck. Guess they are trying to cut costs, but if they are going to film it, seems kind of weird they wouldn’t put the money in to have the set be automated.
Isn’t it because they are using one of the tour sets? It makes sense - less work for tech and all of that. You really don’t miss much since, as already stated, the show isn’t that tech-heavy to begin with. Makes use of ensemble members even more.

The non-Eq tour will be back on the road this fall so they won't be using that set, and the Equity tour that ended in 2019 did have deck automation. I'm not sure what they're using, then.

Someone posted a photo of one of the sets - it looks like one of the pies added to the Menu Board is the “Live Your Life” pie to honor Nick Cordero.
Also, Amanda Kloots was asked on her Instagram last week(ish) if she planned to see Waitress and she responded yes and that something very exciting is in the works and to stay tuned in the coming weeks for an announcement. She also mentioned she would be in NYC for 2 weeks. Wonder what it could mean? Maybe it has to do with the pie on the menu but my initial thought was maybe Sara asked her to do the pre-show announcement.
The marquee is finally up!
