Is the Lyceum the one with a restroom that's almost IN the house?

I was expecting Waitress to book the Ethel Barrymore, a larger house, since it is available until mid-winter.

better suited for an intimate play but Be More Chill worked just fine there. im sure this will be a scaled-down production set wise. good for them.

I love the Lyceum! It’s gorgeous and love the exterior and its unique marquee! But I get it has its faults.
This will prob be the tour sets so I’d imagine it won’t be all that big? Although their is a non union tour going out too so who knows

Posted: 6/22/21 at 11:03pmThe Adelphi Theater in London has a proscenium width of 36’ compared to the Lyceum’s 33’. All that to say, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just build a new set for this run. If it’s getting filmed, it’ll be well worth the money.

Barry and Fran aren't begging for money. They can build a new set if they need. It's also not the most complicated or (I'd imagine) most expensive set to build.

I hope the added the deleted song 'without believer' into the movie version...or even find some spot to add it on the play. It make Pottermor more engaging. The song is difficult to sing but it's anoter beauty one.

It's going to Broadway, but not at the Lyceum. will open at Barrymore in October

Lorin Latarro's comment implies nothing of what theater it'll play at.

For as long as this was on Broadway you mean to tell me they never filmed it?

Why would you be surprised? Pre-pandemic, it was a rare occurrence.

It was filmed practically every time a new lead came in. That said, there is a huge difference in filming something to keep for a memory and filming it with the idea that it would be broadcast to the public. Putting a small camera in the back of the house is vastly different than getting close ups and different camera angles, etc.

Maybe Waitress will open for a limited summer run before SIX opens on the 17th?

Honestly, I'd forgotten where it had played anyway.
