"As for the spoiler thing, I don't feel like I'm giving anything away at this point. I'm just trying to share some of the experience with people who are interested, but not to an extent that would betray the sanctity of our creative process or undermine the film's secrecy or integrity. I've mentioned that the script has continued to evolve a great deal, but I haven't elaborated much more than that. Suffice it to say, that it will be quite different in many respects from the one that has circulated."
Which we all appreciate. The info AND not giving too much away. :) Take care.

Yeah its fun to hear about how the movie and the people in it are coming along. Though I agree that theres such a thing as knowing too much in advance (I once read a script for a movie a few months in advance courtesy of my friend but when I finally saw the movie it was kind of disappointing because I already knew what was going to happen) but that has never been the case here. So thanks for the new info.

I was just wondering if you ever check out this board besides this thread and if you've noticed all the Idina craziness and what you thought of it since she's your friend?
I just recieved the role of Charlie Brown in my High School production of YAGMCB. I'd like to talk to you about your experiences and troubles with playing the role of Charlie Brown. If you'd like to talk to me (only if you like) via e-mail, my address is (xiveus@gmail.com). If not, feel free to PM me or simply reply on this thread. Do whatever is best for you, I don't want to take time out of your busy schedule. Thank you so much and good luck with the RENT movie.
Your fan, Max :)
Charlie Brown never loses hope. His friends may call him "blockhead," but he faces each day with optimism. He is friendly and polite, although he loses at baseball games, the football is always pulled away, and his love for the little red-haired girl is never returned.
Yeah, I'm excited to see him in it. I'm sure he will be great. Anyway, I will await a reply from Mr. Rapp which I will hopefully receive in the next few days. Right now I am tired from YAGMCB rehearsals, so I should get some sleep. Cya all later.

Just be patient is all I can say to you in regards to a response from Anthony. I'm sure he's incredibly busy so, just give it time. Anyways have fun with Charlie.

Yeah have fun with the character and the play and good luck! Keep us posted on how that goes.
Anyways Ive only got a few minutes before I collapse (a night of watching british comedy with friends will do that to me apparentaly :-P) but I just had a quick inquiry. I was reading this article about the puppeteering in LSoH and the 4 different puppets of Audrey 2 and how they were operated etc. For the 2nd one it said that the actor playing Seymour controls the puppet and I was wondering if that was the case for you. If so that sounds hard to do all the acting, blocking, dialogue etc and control the puppet plant all at once. Thanks and have a good night everyone! -Mika

It's just a flower pot that he holds that contains audrey II and his hand is inside of it moving her mouth. There is a fake arm/hand around the pot that looks pretty convincing even from the fifth row. And he doesn't have to do it for very long–just a couple of songs. I think that the Ave Q peeps probably have a lot more challenging puppettering demands. But Anthony did a good job. I was impressed.

Okay, another question about the movie. With the way the current script is written, is Mark still the "narrator" of the story? Like in the show he talks to the audience (i.e. Valentine's Day).. will he do that in the movie ala Alfie and talk to the camera at any point or has that all been removed?
anthony if you have a one night stand with a super hero who would it be?
I think I might have originally gone with Batman because of all his fun gagets, but after seeing spiderman and having evil thoughts of toby mcguire in that um suit. well ive changed thoughts.. how about you?

Hahaha Mimi Imfurst. I've got to agree, tobey mcguire....hmmm. :-P Anyways, yeah I hope they keep the narration in the movie or at least film some shots from Mark's P.O.V. Although alot of the time they try to avoid having characters talk directly to the camera a la narration in movies so who knows.

I have another question. I was watching some movie last night (forgot the name!) and i thought that James spader looked a lot like you especially the dazed and confused period. What celebrity would you say you resemble?
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

Hey everyone, I know Anthony comes online whenever he has the time (which is more often then I would have thought) but when he doesnt have the time I know I, for one, would still like to carry on a conversation with other people who frequent this thread. (and have it not be considered threadjacking). So I had an idea, how about this stops being JUST Q and A thread so we can all talk about other things that pretain to the name on the thread heading like LSoH or RENT etc and if anyone has a question they can put the text in bold so Anthony has no trouble finding them. (and of course he can join in the convos if he wishes to). That way it doesnt just feel like an 80-something page interview or an endless game of 20 questions. Just so, when there is a lull in updates this thread will still remain active and not go back to the 10th page of old threads. Anyways sorry it's this is long but it might be something to think about. Thanks! -Mika

That sounds fine with me... Anyone care to help me find out how to make this bold though? Maybe I'm looking in the right places but I don't see any options to change text, font size, or anything like that.
You can put < > in front of what you are "bolding" but put a 'b' inside, and you put the same thing at the end of the text - except put a back slash in front of the 'b'. If I type it correctly, it will just bold it and you won't see what caused it
Thanks you guys. I was just getting a little tired of not being able to say anything (less it be called threadjacking) unless I had a question for Anthony. (though it's great to read your responses to them.)

The only problem, Mika, is that it was taking up a TON of space, and making it very hard for Anthony to sort through the whole thread for questions. Not to be rude, but there's a whole off-topic board for people who just want to chat. Feel free to start a thread for the people from this board to talk on. I personally just think it's a little unfair to have our personal conversations on here, when it's really his thread. He's doing us a huge favor by coming on here and answering our questions.
Besides, referring to the comment about letting it get to the tenth page, we established long ago that it would probably be better to let that happen. Anthony knows how to find it, and will when he has the time in his undoubtedly busy schedule. He has before. That's why this became the bumpless thread, so he wouldn't have to sort through our silliness to answer our questions.
Not trying to be rude, just explaining our reasons when we ask y'all to please stop threadjacking.
