I just have a quick question about a cast member. I was on IMDB and I noticed that Jennifer Seibel was in the cast list, but there was no character name. I was just curious who she is playing or what her involvment is with the movie. Thanks Anthony!

We've missed you lately. I was wondering how filming is going? Has everyone finally arrived or are you still waiting for some? How's Idina doing with rehearsals in light of the accident?
Thanks Anthony! You are amazingly generous to answer all these questions, thank you so very much!

I hope everything is going really well with you. It is amazing that you come online and answer all these questions. I can't wait for the 'Rent' film, my best friend and I were 13 year old Rentheads stuck in Canada while the OBC was on Broadway, so it will be nice to finally see the show is somewhat an 'original' form.
Anyway, I do have a question, if you have time! I'm writing a paper for my 3rd year Musical Theatre Class which was inspired by a headline recently on playbill.com about a bunch of teenagers in Central Park who were 'praying' to Idina Menzel. My paper is discussing why so many teenagers (particularly girls) seem so drawn to Ms. Menzel as a performer and a person. I was hoping you had some thoughts to share!
I'm excited to read your book, as well!
Take Care,
Amanda

Ive been reading the board and finally decided to post.
My names Jason. I'm 17 from Cleveland.
I'm currently in an amazing production of YAGMCB, playing the man himself. lol. I am really excited to play the same role you did on broadway.
I'm very interested to hear, and Im sure my fellow cast members would be thrilled, your experiences making the show. Any insight you could give into your character of Charlie Brown or any advice on the show would be awesome.
If you get the chance to respond Id greatly appreciate it. I understand youre very busy with the rent movie which im counting down the days till (november 11th is circled on my calender!) Thanks for your time. Its very exciting to be able to talk to u.
Later,
Jason

First of all, you rock my world as Mark. I've always wanted to tell you, since I became a RENThead. Halloween makes my breath catch in my throat and stops whatever I'm doing at that moment, whenever it comes on. This isn't an: ohmigosh i r liek ur biggest phan! :O moment, it's an: "I really respect what you did for RENT, your great singing, and your amazing way of making the character jump out of the soundtrack at me." moment.
With that out of the way, I'd like to move onto my next matter of business.
I was reading my RENT bible the other day and came to the part where everyone was debating on bringing RENT to broadway or not. The part about how it would "ruin the true spirit of RENT" jumped out at me the most. How many were saying that it belonged on the Lower East Side because of the material in it. An analogy was used: "Just like Mark selling out to Alexi Darling." First of all: What did you think about bringing RENT to broadway? Second of all: Would this analogy be applicable to the thoughts and actions of bringing RENT to the big screen?
Thanks for your time! As I said earlier: You're amazing, and just keep on working hard at what you love! ;D
To everyone else: What do you think about the thought of RENT going to hollywood like Mark selling out to Alexi Darling?

I was wondering which of your songs from Rent is your favorite to perform? Same for YAGMCB. I also have a sort of odd question. Have you seen Donnie Darko and, if so, what do you think of it?
Thanks

Anthony, I was just wondering if you and all your other cast mates have been keeping video footage of the making of process of Rent. I'm all about special features and all that fun stuff. I literally spent 3 days watching ALL 20 hours of extra footage plus the entire extended movie on the Lord Of The Rings ROTK. So I can guarantee that I and probably many others would take the time to watch everything Rent!!! BTW you are so freakin' talented! I saw you in LSOH when it came to Utah and I absolutely LOVED it!!! I have to admit that I went mostly based on the fact that I love Rent more than life it's self and I wanted to see you. But I'm definitely a LSOH fan now! Thanks so much!!!

"Is anybody documenting the making of RENT the movie? Like taking pictures, filming random / special moments, etc. for a documentary or something? Because I know a lot of people would love to see something like that! (myself included...I love behind-the-scenes stuff!)"
I've been taking some photos, (I took several that were published in the Rent book, about which I am very proud) although because I'm working so much I don't have a lot of time to take photos at this point. The choreorgrapher is heavily documenting rehearsals with his video camera, and there is a crew that pops in and out with their hight-tech equipment to gather stuff. There will be lots of behind-the-scenes footage to put together for the dvd, I can assure you. It's so interesting the way making films has changed over the years, because all the dvd extras are being thought about now, before we're even in principal photography.

You think there's a chance that there's some bad news out of the movie that we haven't heard from Anthony in 2 weeks? In the past, he found time to say "Guys, I don't have time..." when he was busy. It just leaves me to wonder...
Anthony...I hope all is well.

I'm sure the question has been asked a million times, but I'm new and 79 pages is a lot to read... anyone can answer but I'm curious if Anthony could answer as well:
Is there a definitive list of songs for the movie at this point?
Was Christmas Bells cut? If so, what was the decision behind that? It has movie written all over it! It could've been a wonderful scene... and Maureen's entrance... c'mon!
Please reply..

I'm new to this board, and I'm thrilled to see you posting here. It gives me a chance to say thank you.
My wife and I were newlyweds in New York City in 1996 while you and the original cast were in Rent, and we saw the show five times. We waited for the 20-dollar seats three of the five times (twice in February - about 20 degrees outside and we were there overnight), and had the pleasure of seeing your work from dead center, front row one of those times.
For many reasons I won't go into here, we did not have a happy life in the city. But I must say, hopefully without sounding corny, that seeing Rent is the happiest memory we have of our three years in the city.
In a nutshell, the work you and the other cast members put into the show was wonderful and I can't tell you how much the show means to the both of us. It literally was best thing about New York for us.
Anyway - my wife and I now live in her hometown (Lexington, KY), and we are both SO looking forward to the movie we can't stand it! Good luck with it, and I look forward to reading about how the film is progressing here.
(BTW - the picture is real and hasn't been doctored. I was 15 at the time. Thankfully, I discovered this new thing called "hair stylist" soon after...)
