We still haven't heard about this one, Amar announced he's retiring from the ballet, and Isaac is now confirmed to be a regular in the SATC reboot. Is it DOA now?

While Rudin is no longer the lead producer on either production there is likely other lesser producers overlapping between this and The Music Man. Could that be a factor here?
There is always talk about producers trying not to bet against themselves. So originally, WSS and Music Man were not meant to both open in the same season. The goal was to attempt back to back hit revival winning seasons. But now these two productions are going to be in direct competition with one another for that prestige producers love so much, awards.

I’m working on AND JUST LIKE THAT (the SATC reboot) and Isaac is NOT a regular. He’s shooting a few days and he’s done. His shooting schedule isn’t even a week, just a few days.

Well he’s either doing or did the Wicked concert for PBS and he’s modeling. He’s also in the DEH film. I think his star is on the rise and there’s a good chance he may not be back. He’s made it pretty clear (albeit vaguely) via Instagram that he aligns with those who feel disrespected by the powers that be on Broadway. I think is making better money elsewhere and is probably treated better. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out. He’s got a lot going for him and could easily have a hot film or TV career.

Jordan Dobson could easily replace Powell as Tony, for what it's worth. Throughout its long preview period, Powell hurt his knee and Dobson took over for an extended stint as West Side Story's opening night was pushed two weeks back. And he was pretty good, so I hear.

That sucks for everyone involved. I'll have to reach out to Meg and congratulate her on a great run.
So now the Broadway is vacant - it's a huge space to fill up...

Bummer. It seemed to be quite financially successful and building and audience. I thought it was extraordinary and new.
It did seem like they were having a lot of practically difficulties so. I guess it's not completely unexpected?
I wanted to see it again.

What a shame. I was looking forward to seeing it again.
I know it was divisive, but I found it thrilling. Isaac Powell was the best Tony I've ever seen. And whether hit or miss, and it's often of mix of both at various times in an evening, I always learn something watching Ivo's work. And that is absolutely not true of most (even successful) things.

Wow, I can't believe I missed this by like a week and a half because of the shut-down.
And they won't even be eligible for the Tonys. It'll be like it never happened. What a shame, especially for this young and I'm sure so excited cast.

This is such a bummer as I found this revival to be one of the most thrilling evenings I have ever spent in a theatre in my life. It is such a shame more people did not get to see this production. I am very glad I got to see it three times before the pandemic hit.
